Hello Everyone! Closing the doors for the evening. Had a great day! Busy getting things done and boy am I so much more productive with the sun is out! hopefully May Gray will go away and June Gloom will not come out this year! Keeping my fingers crossed. One thing I do know about myself is I am a totally different person when the sun is out. I am so effected by weather! Michael always asks how I survived in Monterey growing up. I don’t know… maybe because I didn’t know any different. I got in a great workout today. Doing well with my “picking things up” approach I was going for! Got in 25 minutes of cardio with fast walking and some runs spread throughout. I was challenged a bit today, feeling a little heavy on the treadmill but I pushed through. I think today I was a bit dehydrated. The one thing that calamari always does to me is make me hold water but at least I knew what it was. I pushed through and made up for it with a great circuit workout.
-push ups, shoulder press, sit ups, one arm rows, thrusters (squat press), jump squats and repeated 4x
Today I had a higher carb day, even having a serving of Buckwheat Pasta, as seen in my video, with Calamari Rings for dinner. You have to try the calamari/squid rings. I love them!! Delicious and so great for a change from white fish! You do have to eat them on occasion, as they are higher in cholesterol but here and there, they are great! 🙂
Today’s plan was as follows:
meal 1: 1/2 c. oats, 1 scoop protein shake, 1 tsp chia seed
meal 2: protein pancakes (7 mini pancakes with same ingred. as above)
meal 3: 1/2 c. quinoa with 5 oz 99% lean ground turkey breast and salad
meal 4: 1/2 c. oatmeal with 7 egg whites
meal 5: Buckwheat pasta with calamari rings, asparagus and onions (see video)
meal 6: 6 egg whites
meal 7: off to have a protein shake 🙂
I am calling it a night. Tired and ready to hit the sack. Until tomorrow team!
