Hello everyone!! Hope you all had a productive tuesday!! The day started out with a bang and is still going strong! I had a great workout this morning, focusing on hitting back, bi’s and a HIT cardio session.
all 3 sets of 16
-one arm rows, pull ups, cable close grip rows, ez-bar curls, single dumbbell curls on incline bench, one set of 21’s with ez bar
10 minute fast walk on incline
1 mile run
5 minute fast walk on incline
1/4 mile sprint
cool down
After training clients, came home to eat before working online…
I had quite a variety of foods today so that was fun!
-typical oats, protein shake for meal #1
-1.5 cups trailmix
-big omelet with veggies and 3/4 c. quinoa
-salad with 2 oz salmon, 1/2 c. garbanzo beans and evoo
-big asparagus omelet with sauteed mushrooms
I have to say my trailmix was a nice change and tasted delicious. I have enough for quite a few snacks so I will be munching on that over the next few days. Do you have a favorite trail mix recipe?? So fun and creative you can get. Really if you just go through your cupboards and grab all the healthy snacks, put them together, you can make yourself a great on the go treat. The sesame Tamari Rice Cakes made for a great added flavor!
Tonight I am really feeling stir-fry so picked up some squash, zucchini, eggplant, cabbage and green onions and am going to make a big cabbage stir-fry with chicken, yum!
Costco has been having these super thick stocks of asparagus but today I found the really skinny ones from the grocery store. I am over the thick and onto the thin, so nice for a change! I am forcing myself to vary my veggies. I have been on such a green bean kick for a while that I have been sticking to frozen greenies and of course my huge salads but time to spice things up, as you can see with my melody of veggie stir-fry I am making tonight! 🙂
We all tend to get into our ruts or habits of similar things day in and day out, because they are convenient but you have to kick yourself here and there and head back to the drawing board (or cutting board, in this case) and spice things up! I am excited for the variety of veggies in the stir-fry! 🙂 I may even bring out my Nori Seaweed sheets for a few wraps! 🙂
Hope everyone has a wonderful evening and more updates tomorrow. I have a few thoughts brewing for our next podcast!…
HUGS TO ALL
