Hello Everyone! Hope you all had a great end to your weekend! I had an awesome day and just calling it a day now. Woke up went for a walk, worked at home for a bit before seeing Pepper (kristy) who is looking amazing, I must add! Getting ready for the Cal and right on! I finished up with some work online before heading over to 24 hour to meet my girlie Traci for a quick circuit workout. I never go to 24 but today our gym was closed due to resurfacing the parking lot. I felt like doing a little something so gave Traci a call and we headed over to 24. That 2 year membership I got from Costco last year, works perfect for days like this! I must say, boy the lack of motivation at the gym was a 10! It is amazing to see all the overweight trainers who look like they have never picked up a weight or know what a chicken breast looks like?? Sorry but I just get so frustrated when you go somewhere and the staff doesn’t look like you would expect. I like to get motivated and be around people who I want to look like or strive to be like. Where is the motivation in losing weight and being in the best shape of your life when the people you are suppose to look up to are NOT in shape and no where how you strive to be… Sorry just had to vent. I feel your pain if you attend a gym where there aren’t like minded people around! Not saying every 24 is like this, don’t get me wrong. Maybe it was the Day/time/location but it was very disappointing. I am so lucky to be able to have a gym like mind, World’s Gym, where it just feels like a family and all the trainers and coaches look their part. Isn’t that how it should be? If you were trying to get in the best shape of your life, would you ever want someone training you who was over weight? Just curious because I don’t quite understand that one.. Now, don’t get me wrong, doesn’t have to be in contest or bikini body shape but just have some tone and not be sloppy! You know what I mean… okay, feel better now… 😉 Back to our workout…Traci and I did the following
one set of each of the following with 15-20 reps
-seated shoulder press with dumbbells (regular grip, palms facing in) — single and double
-side laterals
-hanging leg raises
circuit of 15 knees to bellie off a bench- for abs, 15 tricep dips off bench, 15 push ups —3x repeated
-all glute exercises seen in my video taken today
followed by ab crunches 50×4 sets
It was a great workout and good company 🙂
I am calling it a night now and going to eat my last meal. Meals today were a little off, only getting in 6 (5 with protein)
meal 1: pro dessert and 1/2 c. oatmeal with 15 almonds
meal 2: 4 egg whites over Ezekiel Buns with lettuce, tomato and onions (Micky G’s breakfast sandwich!) 😉
meal 3: 4 oz orange roughy with 1/2 c. quinoa and green beans
meal 4: big salad with 4 oz orange roughy
meal 5: 2 rice cakes with 1 tbsp natural almond butter
meal 6: headed to have an egg white omelet with 1 single packet of almond butter (1 serving or 2 tbsp) yummy!!
