Good Evening Everyone! First of all, want to take a moment to welcome new members of our family! Ladies, welcome to the site!! We are all in this together and look forward to continuing to grow our network of like minded positive women who understand, can relate, motivate and inspire each other to be the best they can be!
Once again, time flew today and now I am finishing up online and it is 10:07 p.m., wow… time for me to get to bed. ZZZZZzzzz’s are part of our plan and important! Tomorrow is my day for a little R&R and QT with Michael. We have plans to have a picnic and listen to music in the park, one of my favorite things to do. here in San Diego, there are several places that offer life music. It is great because you just bring your own picnic or cooler and can enjoy your healthy bites while listening to some great tunes! 🙂 Lying on a blanket, listening to good tunes, eating healthy bites, spending quality time with your loved ones, doesn’t get much better than that!! Go go go all week and then to enjoy, that is the Balance we are talking about.
You all know that when you go out, it is hard to find healthy foods that satisfy you. Okay so you may find lean protein and veggies but what about the amount? You say extra veggies and you get 3 extra asparagus spears, what is up with that??!! I still haven’t figured that one out. 😉 So when you go for a picnic, you get to bring your own food! You know what that means, a cooler filled with tons of veggies, lean protein and healthy snacks. We either make and bring our own or we will stop by trader Joes or whole foods. I prefer to prepare our own food, saving a few bucks and also getting exactly what you want!
Here is what my cooler may look like…
-Cabbage leaves or lettuce leaves (for wrapping)
-Turkey burger bites
-sliced tomatoes & onions
–wrap turkey burgers in leaves and add tomatoes and onions for a carbfree turkey burger 🙂
-yam or sweet potato fries or chips
To munch on…
-slices of jicima, cucumbers, almonds
You can’t forget your water and this is when I may bring a diet Hansen. Every now and then, love myself a diet Hansen, picnic is usually when I find myself wanting one.
Sounds like my kind of picnic!
Today I got in 2 3mile walks with my Bruno, my dog. I headed to the gym for a circuit workout, which I posted below: Great workout!!! 🙂

I then had a few clients! As I was headed out, I was able to check in with Nikee and get a few words…. I spotted her on the stepmill, finishing up her final steps…. Check out the video (sorry about the quality)
I was on the go the rest of the day, working from home and running errands. Thank gosh I had prepared my food, as it made it easy to grab on the go.
Meal 1: 1/2 c. oatmeal, protein shake, 15 almonds
Meal 2: QUEST BAR
Meal 3: Protein shake with 1 tbsp Chia Seed
Meal 4: 4 oz pork chop with big Gina Salad 🙂
Meal 5: 5 egg whites with 2 rice cakes and 1 tbsp Natural nut butter
Meal 6: 6 egg whites/veggie omelet
Meal 7: Protein shake with 1 tbsp Flaxseed

Headed to bed and will be spending limited amount of time online tomorrow but lots of updates to come this week… Speaking of updates… I am excited many of you are utilizing the forum to log your nutrition and training! I am excited to be inserting a NUTRITION/TRAINING LOG into the site, to better help you organize and keep track of your daily progress and success! We are currently working on programming the Log but here is a glimpse of what it will look like!
It is going to be a great addition to the site and definitely better help you keep track and be aware of your daily choices! Much more to come…
