“If you want to know your past — look into your present conditions. If you want to know your future — look into your present actions.”~Chinese Proverb
“Don’t be afraid if things seem difficult in the beginning. That’s only the initial impression. The important thing is not to retreat; you have to master yourself.”~Olga Korbut
I had to write the second quote down. I had to underline that the important thing is not to retreat. Even though I feel like being lazy after a hot day at work, in a job I don’t care for – even though my conditions with my family and in life are not fairy tale and I am wondering how I am going to make this all work – even though sometimes I don’t see myself progress – I have to remember not to retreat. I have to master myself and my feelings of inadequacy.
Drena, Isn’t this an awesome statement!! It is a continuous practice of getting yourself to not retreat and to just have faith that things will all workout, even if you don’t see how! We are mastering ourselves each day and will continue to master ourselves as we continue to grow and change, our mastery has to grow with us! 😉
