This morning Bruno was taken in to get neutered so we have one dead beat dog! My day was packed with an awesome HIT cardio workout this a.m. followed by 10 sets of incline push-ups and a nightly walk with Jess. After our killer card deck circuit, we took a walk to get a bit at PF Changs. Yes, PF Changs is the new Cheesecake Factory. Gotta love those wraps! 🙂

Nightly thoughts…
There are times in our lives when you know just what to do and there is no question about it. Then there are times when things seem a little murky and you may feel like you don’t know what road to turn down or which way to turn. This is when it is time to tap into that inner connection with ourselves and remember who we really are, what we are all about, and what is most important. Nothing could be better.
When you bring this PRESENT awareness into your daily life, in any situation, you’ll experience the kind of presence that will make you stop in your tracks, engage your senses, and find joy in daily life, for what it is NOW. But for most of us, accomplishing that is easier said than done. We all have learned that so much of this is so much easier said than done but it is important to tap into ourselves and be aware. Awareness is the first step to digging deeper into our true selves! Often it requires a conscious effort to examine the status quo, push in new directions, and find fresh approaches to discovering that grounded, connection and happiness we have within us but the awareness is KEY.
Here is a list of ideas I have come up with to help you be more aware and to feeling more present and more aware of what makes you happy.
-Get Energized About Your Future
Live in the present, but life in the world demands a certain amount of decision making and planning. What’s your vision of where you want to go and how you’ll get there? When you take a proactive approach, your dreams are more likely to become reality. Knowing what you want is, of course, the first step.
You can develop a goal list and create affirmations, she says. You can draw a picture of your future, ask for guidance. There are so many ways to energize the new vision you want for your life. The more you energize it, the more you draw that energy to that vision.
-Dig into Your Spiritual Self
Reconnecting with your innermost self and know who you are and what you are all about. Try meditating or practicing yoga.
-Let Go of the Old
Try something new and discover a new you… Try something you fear, do something that takes you out of your box and out of your element! Be daring!! Go for it!! 🙂
-Serve Others
Turn your attention to the needs of others, you often feel a huge sense of satisfaction. Focusing on other people enables you to be engaged without having to figure out what’s in it for you.
-Honor Your TRUE Self!
Become much more attuned to your TRUE self and where you are in the world. Do you even know?
Do you know who you really are and what you are all about?
