Q:
I was wondering if you could share some good ways to bring down my legs and tone them up?
Also, which supplements, do you use when getting ready for a show? I’m always hesitant when it comes to taking supplements because sometimes the bright packaging can be a bit intimidating.
Thank You Gina!

Great questions! I had to work on on bringing down my legs, as I genetically have bigger more muscular legs. What worked for me was focusing on less weights and more plyometrics, high intensity leg circuit training and also focusing on my cardio. The treadmill incline fast walking has worked wonders for me and also running. The only problem with running is that if you are trying to maintain muscle in your upper body, you have to watch out for running because you can easily decrease the size of your legs but also size of your upper body. Remember, you want to keep everything in balance. SO focus on circuit training, body weight exercises and the treadmill incline and see how your body responds, after 4 weeks or so. I have never gone heavy on quads but also continue to hit glutes and hamstrings moderate-heavy.
As far as supplements, I am not a believer in too many other than glutamine, bcaa’s, multi-vitamins, (inc. added vitamin D and Calcium) and ESPECIALLY your Omega 3-6-9’s. Other than those and your protein powders, that is all you need! Diet exercises and moderate supplementation to keep you healthy and recovered!
Hope that helps! 🙂
