Good Evening Everyone! Wow, just finally having a second to sit down and get to the posts. I have been running around like crazy. I don’t think I mentioned this yet but we are headed up to the Bay Area on Friday to run in the Bay to Breakers Race on Sunday. We have both never done it but it should be fun. Check out the website, unlike any other race, that is for sure! It is like a big party! People dressed up, some naked I hear!! and just people having a good time but while being outdoors, athletic and “running”. We are excited for the fun weekend ahead. On our way up, we are dropping of the bedroom set that I inherited from my grandmother. I think I mentioned this a while back but I took it out of the feeling that I needed to have it but in reality, not a big material fan and really don’t have any memories in the set, only in my head. The set just doesn’t go with our house so we have been meaning to return it to my Aunt. Finally, we are getting the Uhaul and taking it back up North and parting with it. It came in a uhaul from Monterey and now, a year later, is headed back… It is like the Travels of Nonna’s Bedroom set, lol. I am excited though to re decorate the room and spice it up with some life. The set is a beautiful old antique set but just doesn’t go with our place. I am going to turn the room into a more relaxing/stretching/mini workout room with a futon for guests. It is going to free up a lot of space because the set is a 5 piece set that is crammed in the room. Needless to say, I have been running around getting things ready to part this weekend. We are headed out super early Friday a.m., around 4 or 5ish and plan to hang out in Monterey, drop off the set and then head up to San Francisco for the weekend and the run on Sunday! It should be a great time. Quick trip, especially because we are driving, but we can’t take much more time away! I am off to relax for an hour or so before going to bed.
I had a great Cardio workout this a.m. doing 25 minutes of constant running and fast walking and sprint intervals throughout. I had some good beats going and really had a great session. My diet has been, ocne again, quite a variety. Just love how I am really keeping things different and diverse these days…
meal 1: protein shake with oatmeal
meal 2: 1/2 c. brown rice, 5 egg whites, zucchini & bell peppers
meal 3: quest bar
meal 4: 1/4 c. brown rice, 6 egg whites and cabbage saute
meal 5: stir-fry mix from Trader Joes with 4 oz 99% lean ground turkey
meal 6: Asparagus omelet with sliced tomatoes and purple onion
meal 7: protein shake with chia seed
Hope everyone had an amazing hump day, accomplished what it was you set out to accomplish and are ready to lay your head down. Lay it down with good positive thoughts!
Check out my video on Mochi, it is a delicious alternative to other carbohydrates and so easy and simple to make! So chewy, I just love it! 🙂
Until tomorrow….
sweet dreams!
