Good Morning!! Happy Friday! Just enjoying some piece and quite while sipping on my coffee. Had my one and only shake for the day ๐Ÿ˜‰ Really sticking to this one a day shake theory, and oatmeal. We had a great evening, enjoying my mom and step-dad and in laws over for dinner. Had a delicious mix of BBQ chicken, shrimp, a huge salad, veggies and wild rice. Pretty much that has been a common meal for me, the past few days ๐Ÿ˜‰ We prepared the tray of veggies with crushed red pepper flakes and they turned out great! A little bit of a kick and a bit much for some so left me with lots of left over zucchini and squash. ๐Ÿ™‚ Guess that is the key to making sure there are plenty left over for you… red pepper flakes;) take note… lol
So we got to chatting last night, out by a fire, and my mom mentioned a funny little tid bit about frowning up… I thought you would get a kick out of… She talked about how when I was young I would eat butter like it was NUT BUTTER, yes, straight out of the tub. Butter then was like ice cream to another child! What Butter, YES BUTTER!!! Isn’t this just the funnies thing! I guess all that butter and I had enough to carry me through life so no need for it anymore! This is just the funniest thing and I totally remember how much I loved butter. I literally would spoon it out like it was nut butter… I think we have brought this up, in the past, and come to find out, it is a common love for children, isn’t that interesting!! Something about that buttery smooth creamy texture! (just like the nut butters)
So we all got a kick out of it, since that is far off my menu, these days….

Heading up to Monterey to see my dad today and then back to San Diego tomorrow.
Today’s thought:
How control of your choices do you feel??? We so often blame our thoughts and choices on something or someone but in reality we are the only once in control! Every one of our actions is a choice and you have to claim those feelings and choices as your own. If you are trying to move past something but putting the blame on an outside source, you will never move past that “problem” because you are putting blame on a source that is not real. Once you decide your problems are your own and stop blaming them on outside sources, you will change. Realize that you are in control your own destiny! Be aware of your choices and never put blame on something or someone. If you take ownership, you can take control of the wheel and make your decisions based on what you want and where you want to end up! Think about this today as you go through your day making your choices and catch yourself reasoning in your head the blame for each and every one of your decisions. Take ownership and determine your destiny…
Happy Friday Ladies! xoxo
