Good Morning!! Slept like a rock and ready to take on the morning! Fitting a few clients in early so going to have to be flexible and reschedule my workout of the day. Although I have been going strong mon-wed so maybe today will be my day off, we’ll see how my day unfolds. Definitely going to get in my 3 mile power walk with Brunski’s (aka Bruno). So worse case, my walks are in and I got myself moving and grooving. I had all my meals, as stated in my post last night but needed to add on there 2 tbsp Nuttzo nut butter. Gosh that stuff is dangerous! The crunch makes it that much more addicting. You get the flavor of ALL the various nuts and seeds and it is simply amazing! TIP: never leave your house after eating Nuttzo, without spot proofing your teeth! Those seeds, especially, the chia seeds, get stuck in your gums and teeth and it is not so pretty!!! 😉
Thought of the day:
This lifestyle = Expensive that is for sure! Everything from the good quality proteins we eat to the supplements we buy, gym membership, Coaches (trainers, nutritionists, mentors), good quality produce (organic when you can) and miscellaneous gear you need to optimize your workouts (straps, wraps, good sneakers, etc.) This comment comes up often… “Oh I can’t afford or this is too/so expensive! I want to mention. There is a big difference in spending $$ on a car, favorite high end pair of jeans, or any material object, this is an investment in yourself!!! I always tell people this is the cheapest investment you will EVER make, why… because you are investing in YOU, something you will have FOREVER!! Tools and knowledge you will have with you always!! Divide the money you are spending by the years you will live and lets really take a look at that. In the big scheme of things, this is a pretty darn inexpensive investment but the best you can make because!!! Investing into yourself, you CAN NEVER go wrong! The $50 membership at the gym is an average of $1.67 a day. Now that is $1.67 to gain optimal health (physical and mental). WOW, that is pretty cheap! Cheaper than any health care out there and cheaper than any prescription that a doctor may prescribe! Not to mention, once you build your foundation and knowledge, you spend less money on “how to get in the best shape of your life books” or “finding the perfect DIET”, all those diet scam books that, at one time, may have been tempting!!! You are investing into you, into your future, into the quality of life you are living now and for the rest of your life!!!! You can never go wrong with investing in yourself – that way, everything that you learn and have can go with you, wherever you go!! You can invest in three ways – your health, your network, and your knowledge, and all three are necessary to be successful.
Investing in yourself is the true way to improve yourself. If you trade your time and effort now for increased skills or knowledge, relationships, and better health, your results will multiply in the future, I am a firm believer in this!. While we all have to do what is necessary and realistic, I am just suggesting spending less on things that are not necessary and spending more wisely on the things that do and will last forever, Ourselves!
Health is #1 and without health, we have nothing!!! How we treat our bodies determines our mood, ability to focus, and how we treat others. Simply put, how we feel determines our decisions and how we treat others!!
INVEST IN YOUR HEALTH…
-Exercise Often
-Eat slow and well (balanced, nutritious foods)
-Sleep well!!
INVEST IN YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS…
-education
-reading books
-being creative
-attend seminars
-learn from others
-INVEST IN YOUR RELATIONSHIPS (COMMUNICATION)–NETWORK!!
-create long lasting relationships with different types of people regardless of age, race, etc.
-be open to meet new people, you never know who you will meet and what opportunities may come up
-quality over quantity
-meet and be open to meeting several people but keep your circle small!!
-spend time with those you care about!
-Family is #1 and don’t allow the passing time to take away from quality family time!
Invest in things that matter and that will be with you for the rest of your life! Before you spend another penny, you should ask yourself if this is going to help better you and your future!!?? If it will, go for it and that is a wise investment!!!
Enrich yourself continuously! Remember my favorite phrase Kaizen… “constant improvement”~! Continously improve your skills, knowledge, relationships and overall health and you are investing wisely!!
Remember, just like our decisions, we are in control of our investments, no one else!!! Invest wisely and reep the longlasting benefits!
Today, do something to invest in yourself or at least think about how you are going to make this happen….
Have a beautiful day!
xoxo
