Morning Everyone! Hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day Weekend and all the mother’s enjoyed their special day! I had a low key day yesterday, as Michael was working and my mom is in Santa Barbara so wasn’t able to spend the day with her. Celebrated Mommy’s day with Bruno and Baci 😉 Gotta love the pets! Our weekend was awesome. Michael did well in his Jiu jutsu tournament, winning one and losing one. Awesome rolling on the mat and I was so proud of him! 🙂 It was in a City College Gym, mats all laid out and people everywhere. It was pretty unorganized so you were standing around wondering what was going on, for the most part… typical huh… We got there around 12:45 and he didn’t roll until 3ish so it was a bit of a waiting game and being patient. It was funny because being on the opposite side of things, it was interesting to be patient and realize the patience that goes into the things we do, contests, events, overall patience with our crazy healthy programs, etc. Important to realize just what our loved ones do for us and how patient they are in so many situations!! It was fun to people watch and be a part of a sport I am not familiar with. I love being around sports activities. Watching the youngsters roll was amazing. Sports do so much for our kids. Watching the sportsmanship and lessons that are being learned with each event is something you can’t gain by just sitting in front of a computer! I am such a big believer in Sports and getting our kids involved in them at an early age! On another note, thank gosh I brought all my goodies! I posted a video of my food prep for the road and boy let me tell you, thank gosh I had more than enough. We didn’t realize it was going to last so long! I had my raddishes in my purse, munching on those the entire time and then when it came time to eat… Yes, I had packed fish, probably not the best thing to bring to an event! I stepped aside to eat it and was waiting in the hall, while M was in the bathroom changing. Some woman said, “gosh their bathrooms stink so bad…” (as I was eating my fish)!! I didn’t want to tell her but I think it was my fish she was smelling, lol… I slyly put it back in my purse and stepped outside. Maybe I am just use to it but it didn’t smell fishy to me! I thought that was funny!!
We headed back and got in around 5:30 with NO food or anything for dinner. We had no desire to head back out to grab something so we were going to call something in and pick it up. I was thinking I could call PF Changs or Pei Wei (similar and connected with PF Changs) but then realized, you know what, if I call it in, they are NEVER going to get my order right, I am going to come home to find 4 lettuce cups and 6 pieces of broccoli …. No that is not going to work! I decided it is best to go to the store and pick up my own goodies for wraps. No body makes better wraps than I do 😉 So I headed out and got all my goods to make wraps. It worked out perfectly and I was able to have just what I wanted!! Sometimes it takes a while but after going out, over the years, I have learned that it is often that you can find things that “will work” but if I have my choice, I love just staying in and making things “MY Way”.
