Hope everyone is having a phenomenal day!! Things are great over hear in San Diego and what a way to start off Labor Day weekend!! Started with a nice morning walk with my dog Bruno and then it was off to the gym to train member/friend/client Traci!! She is getting back into the swing of training and wanting to get in the best shape of her life for her 40th birthday, which is next July! Perfect, lots of time to take it one day at a time, dig deep and allow the progress to unfold little by little, keeping things realistic and healthy as she comes on down, the lifestyle way! Let her journey begin… Then it was another active recovery day for me. I meant to take yesterday off but ended up doing a little cardio, 10 minutes fast walking and then 10 minutes holding 10# dumbbells. Called it a day until I got the invite to go to “body pump” with Traci so “why not”. Decided to go and just have fun. That is what I call “active recovery”, you are away from your typical structured workout, go with the flow and stay active while allowing your body and mind to rest. There are days for complete REST and then days where you can “actively rest”. So today, went with my heart, and went for a nice 3 mile run but no weight training or circuit style training. It felt great to just go with it.
Came home to a yummy meal: 4 egg white omelet with parsley, tomatoes and a slice of Julian Bread and a tbsp of Nuttzo! (so delicious!)

Just finished another egg meal… gotta love eggs and guess I am all about the eggs today! Had a egg white omelet with mushrooms, onions, broccoli, tomatoes and garlic 🙂
