Most people connect in shape and lean with ripped abs!   This isn’t a direct relationship but hey, if your core is in shake that is an awesome place to be.  We use our core for everything we do from picking up something off the ground, moving a chair, reaching for a shelf, sitting in our car, and so much more…

If you want to try a new exercise, try the Sicilian Crunch.Yes, because I am Sicilian, It is one of my favorite exercises.  Mind you….You must have a solid base of core training and strength before trying this ab exercise.

Sicilian Crunch
Laying supine on the ground with your feet locked into heavy dumbells, Grab a dumbell and keep it high on your chest as you crunch upward. At the top of the movement when you are sitting upright, extend your arms straight overhead with the dumbbell. Then, slowly control the movement downward.
Keep your arms slightly bent and in line with your torso while lowering. Do 4-6 sets of 4-6 reps taking three minutes to rest in between each set.
These are killer and challenging but will definitely have you thanking me later… give them a try!
