Good Morning Ladies! Hope your week is unfolding well!! Headed out of town for the weekend so have some serious preparation today so I am all set and ready to head out tomorrow. We have “E-Lee” (Erin), Jewels, and Kim gracing the stage this weekend in Anaheim and I am excited for them. I will be taking footage to keep everyone posted too, as their journey continues!
Last night I made the most amazing Coconut Shrimp Salad, being posted shortly… Definitely check it out and give it a try some time!! We enjoyed a great evening and are counting down the days until we head out to Italy!!!
On another note, You may have noticed but we have added a “workout of the day” section so rather than me posting my workouts (WOD’s) in my Journal, they can be organized in a single place, easier to find and easier for those of you who want to capture a WOD and give it a try! Hope that helps everyone with their navigation!
Today, Let’s Find your personal Victory!
Where does your victory lie today? Is it in the fact that you woke up extra early this morning, what about the fact that your meals were prepared earlier in the week and all packaged up for your day? Whatever it may be, everyday find something that you have done that is helping you shape your future and helping you towards your goals. Do Not Get Overwhelmed by all the days to come and how many days it is going to take you to reach your goals! I know I know, your dreams may seem so far away and can so easily decrease your motivation. You have to remember that other than recovery and dreams, things don’t happen over night! You have to really focus on the small things that you are doing everyday that are leading you towards the bigger picture. It really may seem like SO much or So far but I promise you, one step at a time, one victory at a time, and time flies! You will be so surprised how each mini goal is a HUGE step in the right direction. Each step and each victory you make, regardless of what it is, should be acknowledged! Stop looking at the end result to bring you happiness. Instead, celebrate the ways in which your life is changing and evolving towards that goal you are striving for!! Everything you are doing is working towards that goal! All these small steps only add up to big accomplishments! When my husband climbed Mt. Whitney, he told me that that is all he could keep telling himself, one food in front of the other… Before he knew it those words “one food in front of the other”, got him to the top and his goal was accomplished! Any mountain may seem so high and so hard but “one food in front of the other” and all those small steps WILL get you to the top!!
Moving on towards the end of the week, already… Crazy. One foot in front of the other, let’s do this!!
No mountain in too high, no mountain is too far, find something today that is helping you get to the top and own it! One victory at a time, we are accomplishing our goals!! xo
Wow Gina! I feel like your reading my heart and mind with this post. This spoke right to me!
SO GLAD I SPOKE DIRECTLY TO YOU LUCY!! YOU ARE DOING AWESOME, ONE DAY AT A TIME… XO
Oh wow! This post definitely spoke to me as well… it’s like you put all the crazy thoughts running through my head on paper and made sense of them. Thanks, Gina! And Lucy, I’m right there with you chica!xx
Thanks Jackie!! It’s good to hear others feel the same way at times. I feel like I hit the “first month wall”, wanting to be at the end of the marathon and feeling like it is impossibly far away. This post really helped! Each step counts! And the Mt Whitney analogy I can literally relate to and remember how painful that climb was but “one more step” and before I knew it I was at the top and all the pain was worth it!! I never imagined how beautiful the summit was and even more so how amazing the climb itself was. Trust me, this lifestyle is no where near as painful!! I think I’ll be incorporating Mt Whitney into my daily motivational phrases. Hope you’re doing well Jackie!
