Everyday we wake up and something motivates us to get out of bed. Everyday something has to motivate us to make our oatmeal and egg whites, grab our meals we have so diligently packed for the day, and get to the gym or a group class for our daily workout. Everything we do takes some form of motivation. Sometimes that motivation may just come and other days it may seem like you have to dig really deep to find it. What do you do to motivate yourself?
Our secret to living this lifestyle program is staying consistent! With consistency has to have a deeper level of motivation to keep you fired up and motivated to want to keep digging. Our motivation varies from person to person and within our selves, what motivates us may change daily! It is important to find ways to motivate yourself and when those things start to fade, it is necessary to search for a new stimulus to get you up and going. Think about what inspires you? What makes you smile? What makes you feel good? Inspiration is everywhere, you just have to look and find it. Is it a book, a movie, a particular person, a song, a place, a quote, a picture, …. no matter what or whom it is, when you are feeling like you need that little pick me up, remember those things that get you re pumped up. It is normal to need that daily, weekly or monthly reminders. Daily, try to visit those things that get you going and remind you of why you keep digging deep!, If you know what motivates you and you spend just a few moments of time reflecting, you can keep that fire lit longer. What motivates you? What motivated you to get up this morning? What motivates you today?
I am having a really hard time getting motivated these days. It’s like some days I’m on fire and other days it is like the fire has fizzled and been doused with water by a fire house! This was a good post. Thanks Gina! You never fail to inspire :o)
Wendy, Thank you for your comment. I really think it is the season.. “tis the season”. Hang in there girlie. Do what you can, get through this month, make smart decisions and it is on in 2011. The holidays are always hard. Wendy, just stick with it and be aware of your decisions. I promise, that fire will be back, promise!!!! You are human and we all have these times. Just have faith because they will pass!! hugs
What motivates me is the “Possibility” that my hard work & sweat might actually inspire someone to make a positive change in their life, & they might possibly inspire someone else & so on…… It’s the RIPPLE EFFECT & alot of it starts right here in the forum!
We are strong women going after our dreams & we inspire each other to do the same in positive & caring ways.
What else could motivate me more?? I don’t know….
Thanks to all you Inspiring ladies that motivate me to be my best!
