Hello everyone! Hitting the pillow here after I finish my shake. I got a lot done today and felt better and better as the day went on. I got to the gym this morning and powered through an awesome cardio session of 18 minutes incline walk/run intervals. I thought I was only going to walk but had it in me to do some intervals. 🙂 I then stepped on the step-mill for 10 minutes doing 2 minutes of front single steps, 2 minutes of double steps, 2 minutes of side steps, either side and finished up with front double steps! It is all about changing things up on that step-mill to make it more exciting! Then I went back to the treadmill for another 10 minutes run/fast walk. I was really pushing myself and was definitely worked at the end of my session. I really like to change things up with fast walking, moderate walking, jogging, sprinting, high incline, low incline, high knees, jumping on a different machine, etc. Just keeping it fresh and exciting is key. I took another day off from lifting and it felt great. My New Kicks arrived and I can’t wait to try them out tomorrow. 🙂 I had a great day full of clients, good energy and positive people! I met with client/friend Cynthia, my bikini and one of my figure superstars, for lunch. We met at a local place called Blue Waters. You may have heard of it, if you are local or if not, it has been on the food network. I had a beautiful salad with snapper and a fish taco with snapper. They have the best fish tacos. I get it without the sauce and cheese so it is fresh fish of your choice with cabbage and tomatoes on a corn tortilla! So yummy! We had a great time and seem to always be on the same page in life! I had a few errands to run before meeting with a few other clients. I am lucky to have been able to get in to see my message therapist this p.m. who was able to get in there and loosen me up. Believe it or not, I was shocked that when she started working on me, I wasn’t as tight as I felt! She actually said that I was looser and not as bound as I have been in the past. Interesting because with the way I was feeling, I thought i was going to be in pain and she was going to say, “what the heck have you been doing?” The moral of the story is, I was sore from my workouts and just needed rest but I am not over doing my body with my newer training style and methods of more functional circuits with my interval cardio and runs. That was awesome to hear and made me happy because the last thing you want to hear when you are having fun with your training is that you are wearing yourself out at the tissue level! I think I had a ton of lactic acid built up and the bottom line is I needed rest! Good lesson and good news! The journey in the gym continues tomorrow… Better and refreshed and ready to go!
Today my meals were the following:

We head out to Monterey on Thursday for our post wedding reception so it should be a great time! We have some things to do in prep for our mini getaway so it is a busy day ahead tomorrow and Thursday morning. We are excited to see everyone and celebrate once again, with those that couldn’t make it to our wedding! 🙂
Until tomorrow, night night
