Today was a great day but challenging one. I woke up at 3:30, unable to sleep. Got up and ate my first meal then was able to get back to bed until it was time to get up. I went to the gym to do my cardio before clients. I needed to get another little something in my system so I had my grapefruit to give me a little energy for my cardio. I did my 30/20 minutes of cardio then ate egg whites before my client. It has been hot here in San Diego. Nothing like Washington DC but still, for SD hotter than usual so been keeping cool with ice packs and water. Worked from home and this evening finally made my way to the pool for some laps. Not sure if it was because I hadn’t been in a while, because I am further along or because it just wasn’t my day but my laps were SO hard. I use to do 20-24 laps then take a break before finishing up my total of 40-50 laps. Tonight was a different story. I did intervals of 2 laps, break then repeat until I hit 20 laps and had to call it a night. It really took it out of me. Again, not sure what that was about but it was odd. It just wasn’t my night and had to listen to that. Everyday is different. Today I also was craving cereal so had my fare share. 🙂
Here is a breakdown of my meals.
Meal #1: 1/4 cup wheat bran, 1/4 cup oatmeal, blue berries and scoop of protein
Meal #2: Grapefruit & 6 egg whites
Meal #3: 99% ground turkey taco salad with low carb tortilla and 1/2 avocado
Meal #4&5- 1 scoop protein with Cereal (Kashi Heart to Heart Cinnamon)
Meal #6 2 Black Bean Brownies
Meal #7: 6 egg whites
I think the swimming tired me out so hopefully I will be able to sleep soundly and not get up at the crack of dawn. I will keep you posted. Until tomorrow…
