What would a typical off season diet look like for you? From the moment you wake up to the time you go to bed. And what do you take in your coffee…sugar? cream? milk?
Great question… First of all, as far as coffee goes, I use stevia in my coffee. I don’t use dairy too often, unless I have non fat cottage cheese, here and there. A few times a week I may go out to get an Americano (water with espresso) but for the most part, believe it or not, I use instant coffee with just splenda. 🙂
As far as what my off season day looks like, below is a perfect example of a typical day!
Meal 1: wake up and immediately make a protein shake (1.5 scoops) with 1/2 c. oatmeal with 1 tbsp flaxseed
Meal 2: 6 egg whites, 1 small apple (or berries) and 1/2 c. oatmeal and 10 almonds
Meal 3: 5 oz lean protein, veggies and 1/2 c. brown rice
Meal 4: 1 protein shake (1 scoop) with 2 rice cakes and 1 tbsp Peanut butter
Meal 5: 5 oz lean protein and a HUGE salad with 1 tbsp olive oil and vinegar (sometimes a carb) 1/4 c. brown rice, 2 oz potato
Meal 6: 6 egg white/veggie omelet with salsa 🙂
Meal 7: Tons of Veggies and 1 scoop protein shake with 1 tsp flaxseed
Some days I do lower carbs and other days higher carbs…. This is a very typical day for me!
