Starting a dietary program and afraid of being hungry!!  Fear no more as you can enjoy your veggies galore to save you that fear!!! Vegetables are KEY to any weigh loss or dietary program!  You know they are good for you and you have always been told to “eat your greens” but now it is essential that you do just that! Not only are they healthy but they are Extremely effective for fat loss. Please let me explain!!
-They are very low in calories!  Did you know, 20 large bags of spinach, or 5 heads of broccoli is  equal the calories of just 1 cup of pasta or1 tablespoon of butter. So, you absolutely do not have to go hungry on tiny portions when you load up on veggies. In fact, it’s almost impossible to eat too many. Trust me, if this was possible, I would have never achieved my goals.  I am talking 10-15# of veggies a day… Crazy I know but it has been the key to my success!! Load on them and have no fear!! Grill them, bake them, broil them, saute them, stir fry them, stuff them, etc.  Have fun with your cooking and get creative! A large portion that fills up your entire plate hasonly around 250 calories. When you focus on veggies you can eat a LOT more food, with lesscalories and a lot more nutritional value.  On my Nutritional programs, they are considered a “free food”. That is right, free like water!
2.) Veggies are also high in fiber. This is both good for your digestionand fat loss because fiber expands in your stomach, making you feel fulland satisfied.A bowl of spinach has 8 grams of fiber, about 1/3 of your dailyrequirement. Broccoli, green beans, and other green leafy vegetables are also good sources of fiber. Fiber keeps you full and regular 🙂  Fiber also aids in helping you avoid those strays off the program because if you get hungry you can go for the greens and also veggies keeps you satisfied so you don’t have those ravenous moments!
3.)  Fibrous carbs are perfect for fat loss is becausethey have almost NO adverse affects on blood sugar levels. While it’s still a good idea to balance veggies out with a protein source, even eaten alone they’re okay because they don’t cause an increase in insulin. Imagine that!! Your blood sugar stays steady so you don’t have those crazy high’s and low’s effecting your mood!
4.) Many can eat vegetables with no problem.  If you are one of those who has always turned you head, have no fear, there are so many ways to prepare your greens, I promise you will turn you head no further! Get creative, find recipes, ask me, use your spices, have fun with it.  You will be amazed how yummy you can make those vegetables!!
5.) Veggies are loaded with vitamins and minerals and other very beneficial nutrients, such as antioxidants and phytonutrients, that will help you look and feel better, fight off disease, and improve your overall health.
6.) I am a firm believer and will stand behind my word that Fiber directly causes you to lose fat because it speeds up your metabolism making it work harder… Fiber is hard to break down so the work your digestive system has to do is increased, i.e. metabolism sped up.  You may notice that the more veggies you eat the more and more you can eat without feeling totally full.  Why is this, your metabolism speeds up and burns right throught them! You may notice you get hot as or after you eat them, why is this? Just like when you eat your other meals, finding yourself getting flush is an indication that your metabolism is at work!!
