#1: You want to be sure to get in a workout Thanksgiving Morning. No matter what just be sure to do something. Get that metabolism going and you will feel so much better when you have some of your favorite Thanksgiving dishes.The best thing to do is plan, today, what it is you are going to do first thing that morning. No matter what, be sure to get up and move!
#2: You want to be sure you do not save all your calories for the big meal. You want to follow a consistent eating schedule, as you do now, leading up to the meal. If you try to “save” all your calories you are setting yourself up for over indulging and actually doing yourself a disfavor by not getting your metabolism going first thing in the morning. Be sure to follow your regular healthy eating schedule and replace 1 or 2 meals of your day with your Thanksgiving Meal.
#2: Feel free to use Thanksgiving as your refuel. It is the perfect opportunity to enjoy family, friends and loved ones. Try a little bit of your favorite dishes but don’t feel the need to over do it. Eat slow and limit yourself to the proper servings so you are not regretting your overindulging later.
