Halloween is coming, here are a few “tricks” to banish those “treats” this Halloween!!

1. If you are handing out candy this halloween, get a candy you do not like. Why risk having a bag of your favorite candy lying around the house? Better yet, go for a healthier giveaway option such as an individual snack size bag of pretzels or almonds 🙂
2. Get it out of your sight. It is hard, especially if you have kids, to not have sweets in the house but keep it out of your site so it isn’t easily accessible. Better yet, have your kids pick out there few favorite treats and throw the rest away. Do yourself AND your kids a favor!
3. Don’t get caught up in the “just one more” this halloween. Especially if you work in an office where candy is always accessible, it is easy to have “just one” each time you walk by the candy jar. If you do this time and time again, those “just one” or “just one more” can surely add up. Hold yourself accountable and just say NO!
4. Please don’t bank your calories for that late night candy splurge! It’s just not worth it!! Continue eating your regular small mini meals every 2-3 hours, drink plenty of water and keep in mind how uncomfortable and bad those splurges make you feel!
