**The “caramel” flavour in this comes from the combination of vanilla and chocolate powders with the vanilla extract.
INGREDIENTS:
-2 scoops of vanilla protein powder
-2 scoops of chocolate protein powder
-1/2 cup of pureed apple, no added sugar (or apple sauce)
-1/2 teaspoon of baking powder and vanilla extract
-1 teaspoon of cinnamon
-2 tablespoons of slivered almonds
DIRECTIONS:
-Simply mix all ingredients except the almonds together until well combined and pour into a square container, smoothing the top so that it’s completely flat and even. Sprinkle the almonds on top and gently press them into the mixture.
-Microwave on high for a maximum of 1 minute 45 seconds, max 2 minutes pausing halfway through to check the consistency. Refrigerate for about 20 minutes or until completedly cooled, if the mixture wasn’t quite firm after the 2 minutes it will harden in the fridge.
