So yesterday marked 15 weeks and today that makes me 24 weeks and 6 days from having my little one! Already 15 weeks down, kind or crazy! I am feeling great, crazy great! Only complaint is that I have been waking up in the middle of the night, which is really unusual for my normal sleep patterns because I am usually a sound sleeper. I wake up, go back to bed, wake up again around 3, go back to bed then when I wake up around 4 (an hour before I normally get up), I just decide to get up and have my first meal. Needless to say, my day is starting early!

I am enjoying my cardio workouts. Really loving my fast walking on the treadmill. When I was competing, I use to wake up and love to get in my morning cardio and I am back in that mode. I do 30 minutes then take a little water, bathroom break and then return for my last 20 minutes. It makes a total of 50 minutes but by breaking it up like that, it really doesn’t seem bad at all. Kind of funny how when you play little games with yourself, they actually work!! I really haven’t been too excited about weight workout so do something daily but nothing crazy, as you have seen. I have a set of 5, 8, and 10# dumbbells at home so often will not even do gym workouts and save a little workout for home. I have also been taking a little break from the pool, since I have been getting in such a great cardio workout. My goal is to swim 3x/week and I want to stick to that but took a little break this week. I was going to the gym and pool and I think I got a little burt. A few days off from the pool and I will be back in action. Getting a little water time is so good for you and I know as I continue to grow, will be more and more relaxing and doable than typical cardio or weights.
The past few days have been pretty similar with my usual oatmeal, protein and strawberries to start the day then a mix of my typical meals (apple, egg whites, broccoli/cabbage slaw, etc.) Nothing too different except today I had the best snack ever. I had these mini banana peanut butter bites and they were delicious. Really hit the spot and made for a great and satisfying snack.
Tonight for dinner had some turkey, olive oil, green beans and garlic brussel sprouts. I haven’t had brussel Sprouts in a while and they were yummy. Trying to be conscious about constantly changing things as best I can to get as much of a variety as possible.

Yesterday I did a 20 minute home circuit of 3 rounds of 20 reps:
-Singe Shoulder Press
-Side Lateral Raises
-One Arm Rows
-Tricep Kick Backs
-Single Front Raises
Both days did my 50 minutes (30/20) on the incline treadmill. Again feeling great and will keep the updates coming!
Until tomorrow, looking forward to the weekend!! Hugs, Gina
