teri–Thank you so much for posting your question on this recipe, omg, what a typo that was~! I came home today and had on my list to remake this for you and share a quick video (tomorrow) of the final product. I made them, they are in the crock pot cooking!!! and then re looked at the site’s recipe and YES, absolutely not enough water… ahhhh it is 2:1 water to oats so the recipe calls for 4 c. oats and then you put in 8 cups of water. 2 cups of water would be for 1 c. of oats. I have them cooking now and will get a video posted of the final product! Thanks for checking that! I will say you will LOVE these. I make 4 cups of oats at a time so I can have them prep’d for the rest of the week for my breakfast and also post workout meal. Thanks for asking about this! 🙂

Gina- Thank you so much! I could not figure out what I did wrong..I made sure it was on low too. Okay, going to try again. Just finished up the oatmeal breakfast cookies too.

Funny, I just made the crock pot oats last night prior to reading the water difference. I was wondering why it was so dry and overcooked. I will have to try it again with the 8 cups of water.
ouhhh so sorry.. too funny though! Make it the right way with 8 cups of water and watch it closely because it can cook fast. You will love it. Super easy to keep in your fridge too! Let me know how you like it.
