PODCAST: day 1- plan overview
So here we are..MONDAY 7/5/2010 1st day of my contest prep! I fully enjoyed my last day yesterday as it was the 4th of July, with pizza for lunch and a carne asada quesadilla for dinner along with a few beers! Normally I would not have pizza because it makes my stomach upset but I do love it and I love mexican food. Both things I try to limit to once in a great while. But I knew I wanted to splurge one last time. And boy is my tummy still not happy about it!!!
I woke up with so much energy today and hit my am cardio hard! 45min (must have been from all the carbs!!!) π
25 rolling stairs
20 run/hill (treadmill)
Meal one down.. 1/2 cup oats, protein shake and 10 almonds
Today Gina and I are meeting Pete @ 619 MUSCLE in San Diego to go over all the vitamins and supplements that I will need! And to take actual measurements. That will be posted later π
After that I will do my training for the day SHOULDERS/UPPER CHEST/ ABS..
Today is one of my days off so I am able to split up my workout, which is really nice!

Now you probably wish your stomach could have a little pump too! LOL! Sorry your tummy’s hurting but you’ll feel so great later today or tomorrow and as you continue the journey. Great job so far. Wahoo, we are off to the races! Sounds like you had a great 4th of July and are now ready to get this party started! π Amazing what those added carbs will do to your system. Usually it is loads of energy or an upset stomach. Glad you had the energy and woke up roaring to go! Good for you for getting in your a.m. cardio and starting your plan out fresh and on point!

she is right on your page Traci, going for the Mexican food! Seems people love the Mexican food, something about the salt! π You like Mexican, Jess likes Mexican, let’s bring on the healthy Mexican tacos!! You know I can out do any Mexican Restaurant! lol
Haha I know, I do love some mexican food! And I know you could out do any mexican restaurant! Hey good idea! Lets do it! Bring your flip and lets hit a mexican restaurant and make it Gina approved! π
I’m down!! Bring it!!! π lol. Seriously I think Mexican is the safest to eat out, believe it or not! Why?? order a salad and use the salsa for dressing. Either bring your own protein (BYOP) and add that to it or order a shrimp salad or ceviche (if they have it) yummy! A little salty, maybe, but safe choice! π
Here I am end of day 2..all my meals in and workout done this am!!
Enjoying getting off work early today, hoping to get to bed early! Feeling pretty good, other then I have a sight headache. First thing i can think of is ‘sugar withdraw’ π And I only had one cup of coffee this am. Usually have another later in the morning.
Looking forward to Leg day tomorrow, I actually love doing legs so that’s good! (Don’t love being sore after):0

Wahooo day 2- down and now day 3 is almost down! Making some serious headway! Look at you already 3 days –CHECK and well on your way! No stopping you now! How is your sugar withdrawal headache? Hopefully you are feeling better and got a good nights sleep! You will notice that this first week, your body is acclimating and you may experience headaches. Hope you had a great leg day and thank you for already inspiring others… keep up the great work!! hugs
