What a great idea you had with these podcast Gina. I’m sure everybody here is on the hedge of their seats every week π
Great topic. We need to focus more on what we want to achieve instead of number of reps, weight etc. For exemple, when I do legs, that all I think about : my legs pumping… And trust me, I feel it burn!!! If I forget about this headache, the work, laundry…etc I have the most productive workouts.
Lets put all obstacles aside for a short while (we can always come back to them later!!!) and keep our energy focussed on our goal.

Everything definetely works out better when you block your negative toughts and truly from the bottom of your heart visualize what your heart desires. The same love, intensity and commitment we dedicate to take care and improve our bodies each day should be the same for the mind.. EVERYTHING

It is so true, we need to focus on our needs and how well we spend the time aiming for those goals rather than getting tied up in the nitty gritty of numbers..
I am glad to hear your workouts are already driven by your mind, Claudine!! Glad to hear you put all other things aside and know how to shift your focus to ALL about you and YOUR time. That is YOUR time, don’t let things interfere with it!! π

You nailed it Karina, it is so important to dig deep into the bottom of your heart and visualize what it is you want! Be sure you KNOW what you want first and can define it so you know what you are aiming for!
We spend endless hours on our bodies but if our minds aren’t in a good place, none of the work we spend on our bodies will pay off. You have to give your mind the same love, intensity and commitment you give your body!! ABSOLUTELY, it ALL stems from your mind! You have the tools and the things you need to achieve your goals, you just need to tap into that thing upstairs, you mind!
Like I said, such deep and powerful stuff but things that we all should consider and keep at the forefront!

I indeed agree with you and C. GYM time is MY time. Nobody else can take it away from me nor worries, stress, deadlines, etc. ALL ABOUT ME. I always call it I AM OFF TO MY ZEN ZONE. Amazingly the intensity and hard work I do everyday brings me to a stage where literally there is no one around me and I just do my thing. Go to imagine that even days off are so needed but so drastically boring hahaahahaha I love being at the GYM and improving… So glad I found like minded people and so glad I got to read this from you. We look up to hard working people like yourself and find out that this actually works for you and can work for me and everybody else. It is true it is not a secret it is all willing to use that amazing mind power and apply it every single day like a good harcore work out! π

Another great podcast! Thanks Gina! I did just this during my workout tonight and it was awesome! I didn’t think I could handle the workout at all since today was cuckoo day at work. But not only could I handle it but it was awesome! I’m definitely in the zone, concentrating when I work out. I don’t even notice people apparently because some guy wanted to be introduced to me the other day at the gym so his friend introduced him to me. He told me he wanted to meet me for the longest. And I’m thinking to myself, “I’ve never seen this guy before in my life!” LOL! Clearly I’m focused!
And, yes, the mental break of yoga or meditation is key. I use my stretch time for that in the morning and I LOVE it! It’s so great!

Karina, Glad you and the gym are at the understanding that no one can mess with your “Zen time”! It really is Your time to destress, let go and focus on YOUR personal goals. We really can’t say we all have much of this time so the time we do get has to be in focus. The gym has a way of making us feel amazing and self accomplished! It is our personal non invasive drug that we have to take in each day to better who we are and our daily lives! I am SO glad all of us like minded people have come together and I am so happy to be able to offer tools that have helped me and may be able (and I am confident WILL help you) as well!
The power of the mind is what I contribute a majority of my success too… that is where it begins and theat is where it began for me… xo

Gina I just listened to this. It was so fantastic. I read a lot about this but hearing it said and hearing how it should be used in the gym to get the best work out is really helpful. As you were speaking I was writing down what you said to put them on my board.

It is easy to forget the mind muscle connection and go with pure strength and weight, being in your body and no mind. So glad you found this helpful and it hit home! Keep me posted on how your workouts go, after using this technique! π
