Just a little update on how things are going… Things are going great and plugging along. Not much to report other than
A. Feeling Great
B. Still having glute pain so laying off cardio and subject to the pool only for cardio. I am seeing a chiropractor, ART therapist tomorrow and continuing with my monthly prenatal messages. I am hoping that my time off of cardio and laying low is the biggest component to my healing. Still keeping my fingers crossed that things heal so I can continue with my swimming but add in some outdoor walking. I learned my lesson but now I am just asking to be able to walk!
C. Still waking up between 1:30 and 3:30, like clockwork. Each morning it doesn’t fail… There has only been one night I have slept all night, which was great. I am getting use to it though and it has just become what I do. Get up early morning, eat my first meal, then head back to bed for my second round of sleep. That second round seems to be when I get in my deepest sleep. Dreaming like crazy… They say when you are pregnancy you dream and I sure am dreaming come that second session of sleep.
D. No major cravings, just being consistent with my usual meals. My last craving was that salami sandwich but other than that just loving my stirfrys, wraps and omelets. 🙂
E. Energy has been great, good thing because I am really busy and need the energy to get through my days and everything I have going on.
F. Weight…. Actually haven’t been consistently stepping on the scale, just focusing on making healthy choices and being active and letting my weight and body do what it is going to do. The last time I weighed in was at the doctors office for my 20 week visit. I weighed in at 144, about 7 pounds up from my starting weight. Although, weight isn’t really real in my world because my starting weight was anywhere from 135–142 depending on what I ate, what I didn’t eat, sodium, water, etc. There are so many variables (hence why I am not big on the scale) so it is hard for me to distinguish my ‘weight gain’, since I don’t really have a consistent non pregnancy weight.
G. I am back in the pool and loving my swim workouts again. I took a little break when I was doing my cardio on the treadmill but now am back in my habit and getting in my cardio in the pool, aiming for a minimum of 40 laps and anything more is bonus. 🙂
As you can see, things are plugging along and I am almost 23 weeks, crazy that I am over 1/2 way there and time is ticking. We are headed up north for 2 baby showers this weekend. I am having 3 total, crazy I know but have 2 with family up in the bay area and then one in San Diego for these here. I am really looking forward to our mini vacation and to see everyone. I will be sure to post photos.
