Good Morning, on this fabulous Monday! Hope everyone is refreshed and rested, ready to conquer yet another week of summer! The “dogs are definitely coming out” as the weather continues to heat up! The Rock n Roll Marathon gave extra heat and energy to the outdoors yesterday! It was so amazing seeing all the running push themselves, with each mile of the race. Just down the street was marker 9, for the 1/2 and 13, for the full and watching the runners was so inspiring and just gives me chills. I was wondering what was mentally pushing them, as they continue on their journey! You know it is so much mental strength, as much as it is physical! I would love to just stand and get one liners from the runners as far as what is mentally pushing them to continue and dig deeper! Overcoming any mental obstacle is what it is all about! π
We had a blast at the Il CiRqUE and the acts of talent each perfomer reveled was unbelievable! I can not even explain the talent, mental focus and physical strength each of these men and women had! Some you really wonder how that is humanly possible! They took flexibility to another level! A level beyond comprehension!! Amazing…. Great way to spend a Sunday!
Onto another week…
What do you for see for the week…. I know you have already mentally thought about your week. What have your initial thoughts been when you think about the week that is ahead? Is your focus on roadblocks that you will need to jump over and reasons things are going to be challenging OR when you think of your goals, are you focusing on the positives of making things happen??? To reach your goals, you have to really want them. More importantly, you have to really believe that you can do it. Think more about why you CAN make it happen instead of why you can’t. No excuses this week! Let’s focus on all the possibilities and opportunities that are put infront of us!

I’m focusing on the positvies….such as how lean I am getting in preparation for my show. I’m focusing on my awesome training sessions that are going to continue to propel me towards my best body EVER!!!! I’m trying not to focus on how much I miss my nut butters π
Its easy sometimes to start off negative thinking of how hard its gonna be these next 5 weeks and I’m not sure if its just my own growth or what but I’ve been staying so positive. Not worrying…..just doing the next right thing….and the next….and the next. That’s all we can ever do, right?

wahooo looks like we are ready and focused! Sounds like we all have 1/2 full glasses! It is so easy to allow our glasses to dip below 1/2 full and into the 1/2 empty but it is a matter of taking notice and filling our glasses again!! Eryn, you have been doing phenomenal and are doing everything in your power, getting it done with each day, one day at a time… You are in control and have the power!!
Here is to another week of awesome training sessions, healthy clean eating, being aware of our choices and mental state and moving closer to our goals!!

Seriously, no more small cheats – even if its never cookies and chocolate! A diet coke here and there, a spoonfull of PB (that I am not allowed anymore) “Just Because!” …. I want to stick 100% to my diet and be proud of myself. I know I can do it, did it in the past. But its getting tougher as the weeks go by, I’m more and more hungry and tired… althought now is the moment where I shouldn’t cheat anymore: it’s crucial timing (4 weeks, going on 3). Plus, I know I’m only cheating myself in the end π

Gina you have really got me thinking lately – thanks for all of the awesome posts! Last week i wanted to quite running and I thought about Sheehee (i think thats is name) – totally kept going!
Oh and I bought Chia seed – absolutely love it. Everytime i go to scoop it I sing that stupid “CHI ChI Cheeya” song – you know the one from the Chia Pet commercial π such a dork but i love it!
Woohoo Girls! Bring it on! I’m going into my 3rd week of prep here and I’m doing great! Eryn, love what you said about doing the “next right thing”! That’s a great way to put it and I feel the same way. Just plodding along…no drama…just doing the next right thing! Love it!!:-D

Jenn- So glad the mind is ticking. You can tell mine has been too!! Things we often forget to think about so just always keeping everyone on their toes and focused on things that are important and deserve thought and energy! π I am right there with you, you have no idea how many times, during my workouts, I now say, sheehee, sheehee.. and it gets me through… might just be our new motivational word, or one of many! π
Oh as as for the Chia, so glad you got it and love it! Isn’t it amazing. You are going to notice a difference in energy and your skin too!! Gotta love those omega 3’s! Chi chi chi cheeyaaaaaaa ….

I agree with Claudine. No more small cheats for me either! A little extra nut butter here and there is sabotage to my body! Also – no more cheating by not writing things down in my log. No more laziness and sticking 100% to goals I set specifically and strategically by writing it down!! You gals are awesome with your thought process. I will inject the positivity into my soul.
That’s my girl, Drena!! A little here, a little there… can definitely add up so if you do not feel confident writing it down in your log, you shouldn’t feel confident putting it in your mouth. I call feel all the positivity in the air today! π Keep up the great work Drena! hugs
