Q: along with most women, hold most of my body fat in my lower body (glutes and thighs). Is there any advice you can give me as far as cardio or training to help me taper down my legs?Im currently eating 1200-1500 calories a day, depending on what carb intake I am getting i that day. I switch it up between 50g, 100g and 150g of clean carbs. I feel pretty solid, but my legs are starting to worry me, they dont come down!!!!! I’m still 6 weeks out, but when I put it into perspective, it’s really not that far away!
Again, thank you for your help! Have a great evening!!!!

A: Great question and that is very common for women. My suggestion is to time, consistency and I truly believe fast walking on the treadmill incline and some intervals of running is what has helped me and reshaped my legs! It is so normal for your legs to be the last thing to come in. 6 weeks out is still a long way to go. I know it seems like so close and it is but when we are talking about your body changing, it is still a lot of time. Keep heavy glute and hamstring work in there to continue building your muscle in those areas and also do light leg extensions, working on really squeezing. You may also want to throw in plyo’s to help. Do some HIT sessions to keep that heart rate up and in fat burning! Good Luck! Be consistent, believe and be patient, it will all come together, promise!
