Love Lessons Part 4
Let’s keep the love flowing with our final 4 Love Lessons of this series. LOVING yourself is the BEST gift you can give yourself. It is the gift that keeps giving and the best (non monetary) investment you can give yourself. The best part is, the love we continue to give ourselves only continues to flow into all areas of our lives and to those around you so… Give yourself the love you deserve and the universe what it needs most.
Now for our final 4 Love Lessons…
Love Lesson #13. Eat Mindfully. You are what you eat so nourish your body and soul with the highest quality food and ingredients. The more GREEN and from earth you can eat the better. Head out to your farmers market where you know where your food is coming from.
Love yourself enough to know what you are eating and prepare your meals when at all possible.
Be mindful about what you are putting in your mouth. Rather than eating in a rush and scarfing your food down, be mindful with each and every bite.
The best thing you can do is get creative in the kitchen and learn to cook and eat mindfully. Take pride in what you put in your body and understand that the love and attention you give to your choices of food has a direct affect with how you perform, how you feel and how you see the world around you.
Food is medicine so fuel properly and “medicate” with the good stuff. Love yourself enough to know what you are eating and prepare your meals when at all possible. Remember the BEST ingredient is LOVE so be sure to stick up and use it frivolously!
Love Lesson #14. Deep Breathing. Love yourself enough to know that the power of the breath is magic. Feeling down, off or out of sync, take a few deep breaths and allow your worries to drift away. Take 2-5 minutes each day to simply breath. Inhale positive thoughts and exhale negative self talk that isn’t serving you! The power of the breath is underrated. Learn to depend on your breath to move you in the direction that serves you and doesn’t suck you dry. A simple 2 minute mediation can change your entire day and ease any unnecessary stress that is not serving you. When in doubt, breath deeply!
Love Lesson #15. Get Comfortable with the Impossible. Discomfort is the sign of growth. Learn to accept discomfort as an opportunity to grow, learn and be a better version of you! You will always be tempted to be held back by your thoughts, your emotions, your experiences but trust that fear of failure and the impossible is actually the catalyst for growth. Get comfortable and almost addicted with the impossible and see each “impossible” opportunity as an ideal situation to grow, thrive and learn! Own your weaknesses and fears and taking them on!
Love Lesson #16. Do Yourself Up! It is so easy to fall into the comfort of your sweats, messy bun and “I don’t care” attitude but love yourself enough to get dolled up. Self Care is the best thing you can do to love yourself even harder. Glam up or go home. No matter how little value you place on your physical appearance or how little time you have, the little bit of time you put into your presence will change how you feel about yourself throughout the day. The more put together you feel, the more you productive and LOVELY you feel about yourself! The worst days can be completely transformed by a warm shower, blow dry and nice outfit. Value your appearance not because of what others will see but because of how it will make you feel!
