Happy Friday the 13th!!
Today was an amazing day! Unlike yesterday, woke up with energy! Not sure if it was because it was Friday, Friday the 13th at that, something I ate yesterday or just because it was one of those days. One thing I am learning is that every day is different and I just have to go with it. I have to keep reminding myself that I have a baby growing inside me and that is a lot of energy!! I understand the concept of pregnancy and what “goes on” but it wasn’t until now, that I am really grasping this unbelievable process. Each day is different and today was a great day! Similar to my days of competition, I have good days and not so good days. Days where I have endless energy and days where I literally feel like a ton of lead as as if I could sleep for days.
Sleep… That brings me to another topic. My sleeping patters have been quite interesting. When I am tired, I sleep like a log. It is a different type of sleep I have never experienced. It is like being in a comma where nothing can wake you and if the slightest thing wakes you, your eyes are too heavy to open, limbs are too heavy to move, I literally feel like nothing can wake me from my deep sleep. It is a very strange, almost scary feeling! On the other hand, there are some nights where I wake up throughout the night and can’t get into a deep sleep. Last night was a perfect example. I woke up around 1:30 starving. I couldn’t go back to bed so found myself making protein pancakes in the middle of the night. Again, just going with my body. I have read that sleep apnea is common so again, just going with it.
I had a great exercise day with a mixture of weights, step mill and swimming. I am really loving my swims. They are so refreshing and peaceful. I was going in the mornings, before clients, but have found the evenings to be relaxing and a bit more quite so loving my sunset swims. 🙂 My goal is 40 laps and anything beyond that is bonus. Today I did 20 laps, rested, did another 12, rested, did another 8 and then 2 all out sprints for a total of 42 🙂

Workout of the day:
25 minutes Cardio on the Step-Mill
2 sets of the following:
10 Step Ups on the assisted Pull up Machine
10 Assisted Pull Ups
10 Bulgarian Split Squats
Drop Set 10/10 Machine Shoulder Press
Side Lateral Raises
1 set of single standing dumbbell presses
PM- SWIM: 30 minutes 42 laps
Meal #1:Changed it up this morning with 1/2 cup oatmeal and 1/4 cup wheat bran with 1/2 banana and 1/4 cup blueberries and 6 egg whites
Meal #2: Quest Bar with an apple
Meal #3: Turkey Cabbage Slaw Nori wraps with chili paste and 1/2 avocado
Meal #4: Quest Bar 
Meal #5: 2 cups Brown Rice Puff Cereal mixed with mixture of 1 cup non fat Greek Yogurt and 1/2 cup Coconut Milk (delicious!)
Meal #6: Broccoli Slaw with 1/2 onion and 1/2 tomato and Chicken topped with juice of 1 lime

PRE PREGNANCY WEIGHT: 133-135#
 My weight is slightly increasing and at a steady and healthy rate. I have to say, I am feeling the healthiest I have felt in years. Ensuring I am getting all my nutrients and a very balanced ratio of nutrients, it is really making a difference in how I am feeling. Ensuring I am getting in a variety of fruit, fats, protein, carbs etc. I am feeling amazing and thanking my baby for allowing me to carry out such day in and day out balance. Balance has always been my focus but now, Balance has been taken to a whole other level.
A level that is creating my Beautiful, Healthy & Fit Pregnancy!
