There is a reason our Contest of the month is to create a healthy dish of your choice! Reason… because all success begins in the kitchen and learning to get creative is one of the best gifts you can offer yourself. So many people only put energy into part of the puzzle, lifting weights and doing cardiovascular exercise but not the same emphasis into what they put into their mouths! So many people believe that exercise and tons of cardio is the key component to reaching their fitness goals. If you work out and do cardio, you can then eat what you want…. wrong! Exercises is a KEY component and does play an important role in your success but a healthy nutritional program is #1 and should be the foundation of your program. A million crunches isn’t going to get you those abs you want but a nutritional program of lean proteins, healthy fats, complex/slow digesting carbs, and tons of veggies will! This year, be sure that just as much energy as you put into working out and exercising you put into getting to know your kitchen and learning how to create amazing healthy dishes that are going to help you with your long term success! For some this may be common sense but if you look at the statistics looks like there are some that are missing this piece of the puzzle!
