Hello and hope everyone’s hump day is moving along as well as it started! Just finishing up online and clocking out for the day. I got in an excellent cardio workout today along with 10 burpees in between my bicep workout. I did all 4 of the exercises displayed in the video and in between each exercise performed 10 burpees, as also shown in the video. It was a fun way to end my workout after doing about a 35 minute HIT cardio circuit as follows
15 minute fast walk on incline
1/2 mile run
5 minute fast walk
1/4 mile run
3 minutes of sit ups
1/4 mile run
5 minute fast walk on incline
1/2 mile run
cool down… 🙂
I had a great HIT workout and bi/burpee workout 🙂
I am a bit behind in my meals, just eating my 4th. I loved my green tea protein shake and oats so had that for meal 1 and 2, meal 3 was 7 egg whites, 1/2 c. brown rice and veggies, now eating 7 egg whites, 2 rice cakes each with a tbsp almond butter… yummy!! Tonight it is salmon and big salad for dinner and either a shake or egg whites for bed….
Hope everyone tries the bicep variations i posted. There isn’t a whole lot to do for bi’s but you can get creative with your reps, grip and rotation between the reps… I will keep you posted with more!
Off to the Post Office and for our p.m. walk!
Until tomorrow everyone!
hugs, love, smiles and healthy vibes your way!

Good morning! My hump day was a REST DAY! I love your post about overtraining. Sometimes I feel like is that possible to avoid in a contest prep???? HAHA….it can really start to feel overwhelming. But….I honestly believe that INTENSITY doesn’t necessarily mean overtraining. I think I’m good 🙂
Off to work…..

ERYN, morning!! hump day rest day. Yes it is typical to have either wed or thus as an off day so glad you got in your rest! I am so glad I posted the article on over training, as it seems to be a common subject and one people often put to the side or for go!
My two cents is that the contest prep can seriously lead you into over training and that is why there is NO cookie cutter way of going about prep. There is so much to be talked about here and I will touch on this in a longer post! It CAN totally feel overwhelming and imagine if you are feeling that way, how your body must feel! one thing I will say and touch on it later… Your body is one smart machine and if it undergoes too much stress, guess what happens— plateau!
NO INTENSITY DOES NOT MEAN OVER TRAINING THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OVER TRAINING AND FATIGUE AND IT IS KNOWING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO! You are good and on the right track! Have an awesome day at work! xo
