Abs, we all have them but how do we see them? It is all about shredding that belly fat to reveal your beautiful toned abs!

You can workout all day long and crunch until the cows come home but unless you focus on your DIET as #1, you will never see them. Abs really do start in the kitchen. When it comes to clean eating, focus on quality foods and consistency and you are well on your way.

If you follow these 5 Tips, you are well on your way towards getting abs THIS YEAR!

#1. Detox your kitchen by getting rid of all processed foods! Go through your cabinets and refrigerator and get rid of all the cookies, chips, candy, high fat dressings, etc. A good rule of thumb is to stick with foods that come from mother nature and are in their natural state. Foods with the least amount of ingredients are the ones you want!

#2. Load up on all the good stuff. High fiber carbohydrates (oatmeal, brown rice, quinoa, sweet potatoes, yams) Good Fats (seeds, nuts, olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, avocados, chia and flaxseeds) Lean proteins (fish, chicken, turkey, egg whites, good quality protein powder) and of course tons and tons of veggies. Veggies are FREE on all my plans so have at them and EAT UP. FIBER IS YOUR FRIEND.

#3. Get Moving. Moving your body and exercising regularly will help you burn calories. Cardio AND resistance training is the ticket, not just one or the other. Better yet, do them together with circuit workouts. Combining resistance with cardio in the form of circuit training will help you maximize your time and burn calories all day long. #4: Positive Mindset. You must believe you can and maintain a positive mindset to get abs.  Keeping stress levels at bay will help keep cortisol (stress hormone) levels down. Cortisol = Belly Fat. A few deep breaths can be the ticket to keeping cortisol levels in check!

#5. CONSISTENCY. “Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out.” ~Robert Collier Abs will come from being consistent with your efforts! One day good, 3 days bad, 2 weeks good, 1 week bad will not get you the results you want! Remember it does take TIME but with consistency you WILL get there, promise you!
