Good Morning!! Happy Hump day! Geez, hump day again, sure is! There “ain’t no stopping us now”, we are well on our way through this week and no matter what we are digging deep and getting over the hump, rolling into the weekend with ease! So this morning without meaning to, came up with a new way to eat my oats! How often have you caught yourself spacing out and pouring your coffee into your oats and not your coffee mug? Yes, that was me this morning, good thing it was instant so it just quickly absorbed into my oatmeal and actually came out pretty tasty! Hummm… Coffee and oats, delicious! Come to think of it, this kind of makes me want to bake a coffee cake! That is exactly what is on my list of things to bake this week! Healthy Coffee Cake it is. What a great on the go breakfast treat! With all this Java talk, I am on it!! Anyone want to join… Let’s all come up with a healthy coffee cake and compare notes! 🙂
Needless to say, here was my Coffee oats from this morning…

When is the last time you did something like this? Have you spaced out and actually come up with a delicious treat because of it…?
Thought for the day:
Ladies, based on several postings in the forum, I really want to stress the concept of really pushing through and moving forward, no matter how many obstacles you run into. Know that these road bumps are going to happen and what matters is that you’re able to overcome each of them, one at a time and move forward. I know it may seem easier to say than to do but as long as you know that things are not going to be perfect 100% of the time, you will accept them when they come and work to move past them. Perfection can be something that is great and then again it can be something that can hurt us. Perfection keeps us striving but then again, perfection is not realistic so if we are striving for something that isn’t out there, does this mean that you will be striving for this unobtainable goal….If you expect perfection (and many of us do), you’re setting yourself up for disappointment and guilt. We all want to do the absolute best we can and strive to better ourselves but remove the idea of perfection and you will be that much closer to your goals!
If you have a minor bump in the road, it is okay and normal. Often people think that that “bump” is 10 steps back and they have to start ALL OVER but this is NOT the case. Just get over the hump and simply take 20 steps forward!! You’re still ahead of where you were before, far beyond the the point at which you started this journey!!
When you get to that bump, the choice is yours, take on the challenge to get over it and keep moving on or to allow yourself to be stopped and overcome with the feeling of guilt! Take on the challenge and opt to keep digging deep and moving forward!! Remind yourself of where you started and what YOU were like at the starting line…. So many steps ahead and only gaining momentum as you keep going!
