Good Morning!! Wow, the rain is gone and I am looking out at the beautiful sun shining through the window and the rain made everything so green and the air so crisp. Yesterday was quite a day with all the rain!! I woke up this a.m. and had my shake, oats and coffee and am just following up on a few business things while everyone is asleep. I am going to take Bruno out for a walk and enjoy the crisp air with a little Me time. (well me and Bruno Time)
We had a wonderful time yesterday, in Tamecula enjoying 3 wineries. It was pouring and there were so many people out doing the same thing we were… It was great though because Ericka and Jeremy had never been wine tasting before. It is a lot of fun to learn about the different wines and each winery has their own style, energy and history! We met a few people out and it was a fun time. We went to sushi after our tasting and then came home to rest before heading out to grab dinner. We all decided to play it safe and hit CC Factory! Found a new one for everyone. It is the Energy Breakfast– Egg whites with chicken and spinach, tomatoes and mushrooms. Wow, it was delicious. I asked for NO Butter. It did have salt and pepper, no biggie but next time i would ask for No salt. It comes with about 4-5 egg whites and two 4 oz beautiful breasts. I took one breast home and yes, it was higher in protein with the chicken and egg whites but what a delicious and clean meal! Another CC Factory healthy option for everyone!
Thank you all for your comments and understanding with my thoughts for the day I posted yesterday. I am so happy to have people like each and everyone of you who understand and can relate!
It is interesting, Kerri, how when you were heavy, no one said a thing and then as you get in the best shape of your life, they all start rushing in… People sometimes don’t know how to accept other people who know how to stick to something, stay motivated, committed and follow through with a goal. You see that, yes, after only two months, you have to learn how to cope with the comments and people because now that this is your lifestyle, they will not stop. I have been doing this for SO long and still, they don’t stop… It is because this is such a unique type of person who can truly find the realistic approach to this lifestyle. It is normal and common to get frustrated at times and irritated because it does just get old but we have to remember it is because we are one of a kind and people want to learn from us. People also are intrigued by the fact that we have the drive, ambition, motivation and love for ourselves to live this life. I really think people want to find the balance of enjoying and being in the best possible shape but just don’t know how. We need to be role models for everyone and know that people just are interested in how we do it, because there are few of us!
People associate you losing weight with not eating and that is why so many of the comments come in that you are losing too much weight or not healthy… if they only knew how much we ate!
People don’t understand nor do they walk in our shoes to know just what goes into this process. We all have walked in the shoes and get it and it is refreshing! Even when people think they get it, it is really uncommon to find those that really do!
Glad you could vent and get it off your chest, as i did. We just need to get it off our chest sometimes and vent to those that do get it and can relate! It is hard, at times, no matter if you are a pro, amateur or living the everyday life without ever competing, we are all in the same boat and go through the same things!
Gloria– Oh yes, I have one of those coolers too! I have now downsized, since I am able to come home throughout the day to grab more food but I sure do have my cooler for when I am on the road all day or traveling! It sure does come in handy. The funny thing is, people may look at you like you are crazy until there is no food around, they are starving and then they look to you like you were the smart one! 😉
Hey your daughter may think you are an embarrassing mom until she realizes how lucky she was, when she is older, to have a mom like you who ingrained the habits at a young age!! Just wait until she gets older, she will see and get it! She may be thinking you are crazy now but wait until later, she is so lucky to have you as a role model!
Jenn– I hear you, seriously – can’t we eat it in peace and just enjoy it without other people trying to make us feel guilty! I guess it is what we have to learn to accept and cope with as we continue to live this life! People will get it, one day, I hope! Until then let’s toast to us, with the will power, determination, ambition, motivation, drive, and for striving to be the best we can!
Molly– So glad you enjoyed your birthday dinner! You experienced it too, just last night… wow, here we go again with the topic of conversation. You wanted to eat your Lettuce wraps in peace and enjoy your birthday and it suddenly became all about your wraps… too much.
That is the best idea ever, LADIES, WE ARE ALL GOING OUT, GOING TO ORDER OUR FOOD, ENJOY IT OVER GOOD CONVERSATION, LAUGHS, AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT EXPLAINING OURSELVES. It is just a matter of time Ladies, we will all be together enjoying a meal, just be patient until then and we will set it up. Think about how refreshing that will be… lol 😉
Love you all and that made for a great post!
I am headed out on my walk now and thanks again for all your support and understanding.
I am not sure what is on the agenda today but Ericka and I are going to be spending some time going over the last minute details of the wedding.. so crazy, only 9 days until we take off!!!
Thanks again for your patience on posts this weekend and tomorrow marks a new day, new month and we are back at it…
Enjoy today and until tomorrow with another awesome week of conversation, posts, recipes, videos and more. I will be updating everyone and staying close by as I leave you all with some good ready and videos before I head out.
xoxo

You said Girl! Thanks Gina! The more I learn about this whole process the more knowledgable I am and knowledge=power and confidence which I think instills fear into people. Others just don’t know, don’t understand which scares them because they are left sitting there complaining about how they can’t reach their goals. This is the hardest thing I have ever doen but I am going to come out a different person. I can already see things changing in my life and for that I a grateful. My friend sent the following to me yesterday after I explained to her how hard this journey is. It was exactly what I needed!
Today’s Quotation:
Undertake something that is difficult; it will do you
good. Unless you try to do something beyond
what you have already mastered, you will never grow.
Ronald E. Osborn
Today’s Meditation:
Growing is so important to us–if we don’t grow, we stay the same, and we’re never able to come close to our potential. We’re also never able to give all that we might be able to give if we were to grow into a new and different person from time to time.
I see my life as a series of chapters, and my hope is that in each chapter I’m a stronger, more caring and compassionate person than I was in the previous one. The only way that I can accomplish this is to take risks, to try new things, to make an effort to add to who I am as a person.
As a basketball coach, I often have a hard time convincing players that they never will get better if they don’t stretch their limits. Most of them like to play at the level they’re at, because that’s the level at which they think they’ll make fewest mistakes. That may be true, but their playing never improves, and their teammates never benefit from their new abilities or improved performance. Sports are great because they give us a constant opportunity to grow and improve, yet most people who are involved in sports hit a certain level and then never dare to try to move to the next–that’s why there are so few pros, relatively speaking, and many, many amateurs.
While there’s nothing really wrong with being an amateur–not all people want to devote the time and energy necessary to be a professional athlete–Ronald’s point of never growing past your current level of ability is very important, for if I back away from something because it may be difficult, I’m losing a great opportunity to develop an important part of myself. Perhaps the difficulty will be in dealing with people, and I’ll develop my social skills, or the difficulty will lie in the mathematics or research involved with a project; in that case, I’ll learn a lot about mathematics or research.
Questions to ponder:
1. What’s difficult for you? If you tackle this difficulty,
will it stay difficult for you?
2. What opportunities have you passed on because they seemed too hard?
What might you have learned if you hadn’t passed on them?
3. Do you know someone who regularly passes on difficulties?
What are those people’s lives like? How could they change this?
For further thought:
If your life is ever going to get better, you’ll have to take risks.
There is simply no way you can grow without taking chances.
David Viscot
Kerri, Awesome quote and response. You are absolutely right and nailed it, knowledge, power and confidence are things people do not know how to handle. If they only could feed off you and take those things into their own lives… but they have to be willing to change. I love the quote and totally believe in that. If you do not do something that scares you each and everyday, you will not grow. It is the scariest thing to do, most of the time but it only makes you a fuller, bigger, stronger, and better person!
I loved the meditation and questions and they make you think about your potential and how to achieve it or maybe even something that may have gotten in the way of achieving it. Stepping out of the box and change is the hardest thing to do, at times, but it only brings about growth!
Today, take your chances, take risks and grow!!
thanks for the awesome thoughts and post!
