Kiwi berries are an exciting fruit to eat by themselves or inside a smoothie! They are about the size of a grape, look just like a kiwi except sweeter, much smaller and you can actually eat their skin. They make for a delicious snack or addition to a spring or summer salad.
They last about 7 to 14 days and best if consumed within one week. Kiwi berries are rich in antioxidants, vitamin C and naturally low in fat, cholesterol and sodium. They are also high in fiber and a great source of potassium, vitamin E and magnesium. Very similar in nutritional breakdown as a regular kiwi but much easier to eat!
There’s only a few farms that grow kiwi berries, so they’re a bit pricey but worth trying them, while they are in season!
