As you drive along your road towards your dreams and victory, how far away do they seem? Do you see the outline of your victorious efforts in the near to far distance or do you not see them at all? Does the distance between you and that vision cause you to lose motivation and feel as if you have come so far but still have so far to go?
Often we forget that goals and dreams are not achieved overnight, but rather in a series of small steps. Just like your car, along your drive, it begins to lose fuel and you have to stop and refuel your tank. Each stop to the gas station is a time for you to refuel your tank but also a symbol of more miles driven. Those miles you are putting in are getting you closer and closer to your destination. Rather than seeing your dreams so far away and feeling defeated by the distance, see each “gas station” as a reflection of how far you have come and how much closer you are. Stop looking at the end result as what will make you happy but rather celebrate the stops along the way and the miles you are putting in. Make the most of drive and persevere. Remember that each stop and each refuel is taking you to your destination–destination Victory!
