1 can (16 oz) black beans
1/4 c. organic Ketchup
1/4 c. flaxseeds
1/2 c. oatmeal
1 egg white
2 tbsp low fat Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 c. onion, chopped
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp paprika
pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS:
-rinse can of black beans well and add ketchup, onions, garlic and egg white to beans. Mash with a fork and set aside.
-In food processor, grind remaining ingredients until a breadcrumb consistency. Mix black bean mix with dry ingredients and using hands, mash everything up. Form into patties and set aside. Coat skillet with non stick spray, cook patties on high heat for 3-6 minutes, flip and repeat on other side. Once they are brown on each side, place on paper towel to dry and soak up remaining moisture.
-Place on Whole grain (Ezekiel Bun) or wrap in lettuce for a carb free burger!
Add toppings (lettuce, onion and tomatoes) and Enjoy!!
