History was made yesterday when the life of a beautiful new Silva Baby was born. June 27th at 2:20 p.m. 7 lbs 11 oz, Baby Jacob Diego Silva was born. Wow, what an incredible day and a day that history was made. We all create our own history and history is written all around us on a daily basis. It may not be the “history” we think of. Not the history that you read in textbooks or the history you read about colonies, princes, kings, gladiators, etc. but the type of history we create on a daily basis. What you do today and what happens to you today goes down in your own personal history book. When you choose a direction and dedicate yourself to it, you make history. When you set your priorities and stick to them, you make history. There are an infinite number of possible histories out there, waiting to be lived. Yesterday marked the beginning of a new life and a new history book that was created and started. Yesterday was day one, today is day two and the book will only get thicker and thicker as pages turn and memories created. We all have our own books that are getting thicker as the days pass and experiences are had. You choose the history you create so before you make a decision or commit to something, think of what you want written in your history book? Think of the life you want to create for yourself and the legacy you want to leave behind?
I am making my imprint in Baby Jacob’s book, signing my love off to him as he entered the world an innocent boy and begins his journey in the world.
4 lessons for the baby and lessons that are great reminders for all of us…
Lesson #1. Life is meant to be lived bravely. Go after whatever it is your heart desires without fear! Fear will only hold you back but without fear, you will conquer, grow, learn and gain confidence that will make you a better more improved individual.
Lesson #2. Always do YOUR best! When you know that you have done your best, there is nothing to regret.
Lesson #3. Safe boundaries become your biggest walls of confinement. Unless you challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone, you will never find out what you are truly capable of. You are capable of ANYTHING you set your mind to so think big and never stop exercising your mind!
Lesson #4. You have to start somewhere but just start. Every great successor started somewhere with one initial step. Let go of trying to do everything perfectly and just do. You will learn as you go and learn to enjoy the process along the way. Take that initial step and the journey is what you make it!
History has been made and today, more lessons will be placed in our books. What history is being made in your book today and what lessons are some of the greatest you have learned along your path?
