Today was a great day, after not such great nights sleep. I am having problems sleeping. Couldn’t get to sleep so was up until after midnight. Then forced myself to get to bed but woke up around 3. I let myself get up just before 4, ate my breakfast then was able to go back to bed for an hour or so before starting my day. Interesting enough, I had energy throughout the day on limited amount of sleep. It seems this is normal because of the rage of hormones running through your body. It is so different for me being that I typically sleep like rock. I have heard and continue to hear that it is natures way of preparing you for motherhood, I am beginning to think this is true!! I had quite a variety of food and great meals today so maybe the variety and the addition of carbs can help with my slumber….
Today’s meals:
Meal #1: 1/4 cup oatmeal and wheat bran with blue berries and protein shake
Meal #2: 6 egg white, bell pepper omelet with an apple
Meal #3: Delicious Salad and sandwich. 2 slices Julian Bakery Sour Dough bread with 1/2 avocado, 3 egg whites, bell pepper, lettuce and mustard with side salad 🙂
Meal #4: 1 scoop protein, 3 egg whites, protein pancakes with sugar free Jelly
Meal #5: 6 oz non fat Greek Yogurt, 1/2 cup oatmeal and 1 scoop protein mixed together 🙂
Meal #6: Craving that sandwich again… 2 slices Julian Bakery Sourdough bread with lettuce, bell pepper, 1/2 avocado and Almond Cheese 🙂
Meal #7: Popcorn 🙂
DID YOU KNOW AND DO YOU BELIVE THAT POPCORN BEFORE BEDTIME CAN HELP YOU SLEEP?
Hummm with my troubled issues getting some shut eye, going to give this a try tonight!
Supposedly, the carbohydrates in popcorn can help bring the amino acid tryptophan into your brain, where it’s used to make a sleep-inducing neurotransmitter called serotonin.

Workout of the day with brief update:
Gina-So happy to see you are staying so positive and having a great time with your pregnancy. As always, so inspiring. My father-in-law is moving to San Diego so I will be visiting out there several times a year! I am hoping I will be able to train, live and in person, on one of the trips:)
Keep up the positive energy-love starting my day off with your blog! -Liz
