What an amazing day! It was Hot, a Fabulous Friday and to top it off my birthday, it was the best day ever! I took the day off from working so really had a day to do my usual but with no time restrains. I got in my workout, ran a few errands, casually made lunch, took a nice nap, went to the pool and was treated with a wonderful Summer Greek Salad, made by my husband (see below). It was kind of interesting because he asked me what I wanted him to make for dinner, anything goes because he is a great chef! Here is where my pregnancy dilemma comes in, I never know what I want… I gave it time, took my nap and woke up with the idea that a cold salad sounded so good. It has been so hot here that a cold salad sounded so refreshing and yummy. It absolutely was exactly what I wanted!! It was a stellar day. Tomorrow we are celebrating with something special. Not sure what the hubby has up his sleeve but the birthday celebration only continues. I had great energy today, busting through my 50 minutes of cardio on the incline treadmill and a few post exercises. Things are going Great, a few days of solid energy so I think there is something to this 2nd Trimester. I have been so blessed with so many positive and supportive people in my circle. Even people out of the wood works, come to show their support in one way or another. Today I was graciously surprised by a knock at the door from my neighbor with a little gift and a card. She gave me some books on pregnancy that helped her throughout her pregnancy. It was so sweet of her. I have been doing all my research via the internet so it in nice to have hand copies of these books. I am so grateful and appreciative of everyone who is there in one way or another. 🙂 Thank you ALL!

As you can see, it is consistency that is my focus. I focus on cardio and endurance, daily, and my weight training or resistance training is just to do something a few times a week, going with how I feel. Since I have plenty of muscle and am still aiming to downsize, my goal is not to build during my pregnancy, rather keep myself in shape and healthy and of course toned (as toned as I can) but not to build. Especially since I am gaining body fat and fluids, that on top of muscle accounts for a “bigger” look so aiming to just keep in my cardio and minimal weights. This is particular to each individual because everyone is different. I know my body and this is what feels good for me right now. 3x/week of a decent circuit is key to keep metabolism up and to keep tone and then other days, just a few calisthenics does the job. 🙂
Until Tomorrow, make it a great weekend! xoxo Gina
