What does success mean to you? Think about your goals you are working hard to accomplish. Are you going after something because it is what you want or because somebody else is defining it for you? It is easy to get sucked into what success means to society but ask yourself if what you are chasing is something you want or something you think you should want?
Wouldn’t you hate to discover years later that what you were going after wasn’t in deed in line with what you wanted in life? Forget what society says is beautiful, fit, wealthy, happy, strong, and what how society defines success. Success is something you define and nothing else matters! If you go after things for other people or because you think you those are the things you should go after, you will find yourself unhappy and unsuccessful…
Stop comparing yourself to others and define your success today!
Don’t change who you are, what you believe in and what resonates best in your life. We all are different and success means something different to each and every one of us.
What does it mean to you?

Good Morning and Happy Happy Friday! This weekend is a special weekend for everyone! It is a weekend to celebrate the success of each and every one of you! You work hard towards your goals and having that vision is the foundation towards these goals (see today’s post). Without this clear vision, you have no idea where you are headed! When you have that vision, it is hard work, determination, self motivation, will power, inner strength, mental strength, physical strength, commitment, consistency, day in and day out efforts and digging deep that allows you to reach your goals! No matter what your goals are and what your vision looks like, with a clear vision it can be yours! This weekend, I am headed out to Vegas to experience the Vision of 3 girls, Veronica Jackson, Tracy Allen and Francine Sablan, who will be living out their vision in the 2011 USA Figure competition in Las Vegas. These lovely hardworking and dedicated women are examples of having a clear vision and goal and seeing it through. It all started with that vision and that vision is becoming a reality! See it, believe it and you will achieve it!! This weekend is dedicated to EVERYONE’s success! It is the end of the month and what not a better time to take in all your hard work from the past month and set your focus for a new and exciting month. Use these 3 women as examples to help drive and motivate you to keep on digging…
Bags are packed, Healthy food prepared and ready to go and I am headed out to witness the success of Veronica, Tracy, and Francine who have worked so hard! I am so proud of each and every one of you for ALL your efforts! Keep doing your thing ladies! The rewards are always worth it and great efforts lead to great results!!
Have an amazing weekend everyone and celebrate your success!!
Hugs to you all!
“Success is not forever and failure isn’t fatal.”~ Don Shula
“One important key to success is self-confidence. An important key to self-confidence is preparation.”~ Arthur Ashe
“Every successful man I have heard of has done the best he could with conditions as he found them…”~ Edgar Watson Howe
“Succeeding is not really a life experience that does much good. Failing is a much more sobering and enlightening experience.”~ Michael Eisner
When you think about a successful life and what that should look like? What do you see? Is success what you look like, what you wear, how you feel, what you achieve, the car you drive or something else? What does success mean to you? Now that you an visualize what success is to you, are you doing what it takes to get there? Be able to describe and visualize what success is, in your eyes, and commit yourself to working towards that vision. A vision is what is going to keep you motivated. As you see success and keep yourself motivated by that powerful image, keep that positive attitude and that along with your vision, you will get there! Remember that success is not luck but hard work. You have to work hard and continue believing in yourself, that vision that you have will become your reality.
We all are striving for a “successful life” but ask yourself what that means to you? What is “success” to one person may be something totally different to someone else. For some it is a Mercedes Benz and for others a killer workout is living a successful life. Before you say you want to be “successful” find out what exactly that looks like in your eyes!
Are you tracking your success by how much you weigh? Are you tracking your success on how you are changing on the outside? If you are, you should rethink what success means to you!? Is success a number or a state of being? As you strive for your physical goals, you need to realize that you are going through major mental transitions. At first, you may start with lack of faith in their your own ability to change. You might know or think that you should change your habits, but do you realize that it is your emotional habits that need to be addressed? Change starts from within not from the scale or numbers! Success, no matter what it means to you, begins with the inside! No matter how much weight you lose or what size jeans you wear. Believe in yourself and put aside your scale. When you believe in yourself you give yourself the empowerment and belief that you have the ability to change and no matter what you weigh, you have faith that you are changing, from the inside out!
Start Success with You not the Scale! You determine your success, not the scale on your bathroom floor! Today, do me a favor… become numberless! Put away your scale and gauge your success by how you feel and not how much you weigh!
Robert Collier said, “Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.” When it comes to your health and fitness, it is less about going crazy or doing things “perfectly” all the time and more about doing things repeatedly. When you devote yourself to achieving a goal, in order to do so efficiently, you must be consistent! Slow and consistent is so much better than fast and inconsistent. When you establish consistency in your workouts, make healthy choices about what you eat and drink, you WILL see results. Consistency is powerful and it DOES work! Day in and day out, that is what it is all about. 2 hours of cardio one day and then nothing the next 4 days…. eating clean and making smart choices for 1 day and then losing control for 3 days is not helping you get to your goals. Not that you have to be perfect all the time, come on, we are human… but consistency is where it needs to be to obtain your results. Do less more often but just do less!! Put aside your extreme, want it now attitude and focus on doing less, consistently. Doing more infrequently is much less beneficial than doing less frequently! Consistency is where it’s at, consistency!!
DECIDE TO TAKE ACTION, HAVE DISCIPLINE, BE PATIENT, AND STAY FOCUSED! YOU’VE GOT THIS!!!
Today and every day’s mantra:
