Did you wake up with an optimistic attitude and ready to conquer your day, your week? Happiness is a choice and it is up to you to how you feel, right now, at this moment, is up to you. How you feel is your choice. You choose to feel this way or that way so how do you want to feel today?

No matter what situation you find yourself in, if it is one you do not like, try to change the way you look at it. This does not mean that you have to ignore problems or live in denial but change your perspective. Look for solutions to a problem rather than dwelling in them. Don’t ever forget that you have control of your outlook and if you can’t change a situation, you can change your perspective.

If there something that bothers you, think about how you can look at the situation from a different point of view. Putting emotions aside and being rational, see the light and change your perspective, after all, your perspective is something no one can take away from you!

Happy Wednesday

Good morning, guess what……. It’s Wednesday, yet again! Hope everyone’s week is off to a great start! Only 3 more days of July, can you believe it! Time flies ladies, everyday counts so you really have to make the best of each day! I heard a great quote yesterday from client/member Molly. Not word for word but something along the lines of …”you are not old unless you were to die tomorrow, in that case you would be old”. We have to live each day as if it was our last, time flies and all we have is today and this moment! If you live your life cherishing the precious moment, every moment is amazing and there is no time to have it any other way. Sometimes we just need to change our way of thinking and be appreciative of what we are doing right now… are you on the treadmill sprinting your heart out, sweat dripping down your face, think you are going to literally not make it through your session but guess what you have the ability to run, you have the energy, the power within yourself to take each stride and soak in the moment of passion and desire for adrenaline and epinephrine to continue to dig deep! Breath in the moment and be happy for your success, with each long stride….

Thought for the day…

Happiness is a state of mind, not a way of life or a destination that you’ll reach one day. Bumps in the road of life are to be expected, and we cannot let them ruin our days. We often think that if a combination of factors would just fall into place THEN we would finally be happy. Satisfaction can only come from within, through truly accepting yourself, your life, and your circumstances. During this life you’ll have many hard days–long work days, sleepless nights, worrying about the future, etc. This week, think about the joys of your life. Find creative ways to enjoy the little bumps in the road. Understand that you can be happy right here right now! You don’t have to wait for “this or that” to be happy! Happiness comes from within, not from without. Smile today, it’s Wednesday! :)

Java and Meal one, DOWN (oats with a shake topped with flaxseed) now off to train/cardio! Have an amazing day everyone! We are all in this together, seize the moment and just BE, and BE YOU!

everything you need and want you already have…

Don’t forget that Everything you need you have with you at all times.

Why are we, as humans, always in a rush to get what we want?  Do we think when we get this or that it will make us happy and we will have what we have always wanted and needed?  Our desire to learn and improve is our nature. Our minds are always in search of what can be done or what we have to do.

Take a second and just look around and realize just what you have, how far we have come as a society and how far YOU have come as an individual! Everything from a loved one, the lights, a picture you drew, a piece of art you bought, the house you are living in, etc.

I am sure if you take a moment and think about it all, it leaves you breathless and as you sigh you say, “WOW!” Who can’t be amazed at life??? Take a step back and look outside the box, for once.  Realize how lucky  and just how fortunate we are!!

As individuals we are also always searching for improvement. We are seeking the answers to make our lives better. This fuel for this desire of self improvement from material things to simply improving our feelings . Since we are seekers, we seek, and we will always continue to seek. However, if you want change, if you want to create what is not there, where do you have to look first? You first have to look within. The answers lie within you. The changes you want are inside of you. You have to tap into your mind. You have to draw the power from within yourself. The changes are yours to realize at any time you choose.

Everything you need you have with you at all times. Anything you need is inside of you. All you have to do is reach in and all the changes you want you can realize. Sure the changes you want do not exist yet, and the changes that get created everyday do not exist yet either. If they already existed they would not be changes, they would be what is. Get quiet for a moment and allow yourself to be still. Close your eyes and see yourself with changes you seek. Get a clear picture of what it is that you want and then reach further. Don’t stop with the end result, ask your mind how do I create it. The light bulb did not get created by Edison stopping at the end result in his mind. Edison saw what he wanted to create and then asked himself, “How do I create it?” We have the power within ourselves to create the changes we want, but we stop our thinking at the end result. The end result is just the start of the process. Know what you want and then the thinking starts. Then you have to start thinking about how do I create the result I seek? Often, when we ask that question, we look for the short cut. There was no short cut for Edison. It is said that Edison went through more than ten thousand experiments before he ended up with the result he wanted.

You can light the light bulb up of your life, and it won’t take ten thousand tries but it does take effort. Take a moment and search your mind. What do you want to create in your life, and how can you create it? See the path and then be willing to put the effort in. If nothing is impossible, there is no change beyond you. It doesn’t all come easily, but it is there to make happen. You have to be willing to put the effort in to make it happen. You have to reach inside yourself and nothing is beyond you. You really can create the changes.  Everything you need you already have! All the changes you seek in life are already within you waiting to be realized. You have what you need.

Happiness NOW

Tomorrow may or may not come but what we know we have the NOW.

People tend to focus their energy on past and future events but forget to live today and in the NOW.  Futuristic goals are important to keep you motivated and your mind set on something and past experiences are great, or not so great, memories but forgetting about the NOW detours your goals and does not help what has already come and gone or may come.

All we have to live for is the moment.  People need to find happiness within their selves and within the present moment before we can carry out future happiness.  People tend to focus on past events or obstacles that have either made them happy or future goals that will make them happy but what about today, right NOW!  Do we know if we will wake up tomorrow or what the future has in store for us?  The answer is NO.  Why focus all of our energy and hopes on what we do not know will ever come.  Some people live their lives so set in the future that they cannot even focus on the present moment.

People spend their lives focusing on how happy they are going to be when…. It may be a promotion, new car, winning a show, meeting the person of your dreams, a new outfit, or whatever it may be but nothing but you and focusing on the present moment can and will bring you happiness.  In the sport of fitness and figure, so much of our time is placed in the past and future but not so much in the now.  We are so excited, training hard for future shows, and to accomplish future goals.  Post contest we are so consumed with how the show went and what we need to do to better ourselves and our placing.

The bottom line is we need to take a few moments each day to reflect on ourselves and focus on the moment.  Be Happy NOW, not tomorrow or yesterday but NOW.  By taking the time to live in the moment and be grateful for your lives and who you are, you will only prevail and find Happiness that will last you a lifetime but it all starts NOW!
