INGREDIENTS:

3 Kale Leaves
1/4 cup frozen berries
1/2 cucumber
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I use Biotest Metabolic Drive)
1 oz unsweetened coconut flakes
1 cup water
1 tsp Chia seeds

Blend and Nourish!!

Try my really easy and super nutritious smoothie that can be used pre or post workout. This Berry Kale Smoothie will offer you all the healthy benefits and energy you need to not only get you started with your workout but to help sustain your energy levels throughout your workout. If you use this smoothie post workout, it also serves as a great fast absorbing recovery drink to ensure you replenish your depleted glycogen stores after all your hard work.

Berry Kale Pre-workout Smoothie
INGREDIENTS:
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 apple
1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
1/2-1 cup kale leaves, Stem removed
1/2 cucumber
1/2 avocado
1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
1 cup water
1-2 cups ice

DIRECTIONS:
Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender. Add enough water so that all ingredients are covered. Blend well and serve.

**remember to remove the fibrous kale stem from the kale leaves before adding in the kale

Berry Berry Breakfast Smoothie

INGREDIENTS:

-1 cup mixed berries (which ever mix you like)
-1/2 banana
-1/2 avocado
-1/4 cup Non Fat Greek yogurt
-1 scoop vanilla protein powder
-1 cup water (unsweetened coconut or almond milk optional)
-Probiotics
-1/2-1 cup ice cubes

DIRECTIONS:

Blend all ingredients. Pour into a cup and enjoy a very fruity, healthy breakfast smoothie.

Coconut Berry Yogurt Smoothie

Ingredients:
-1 cup blackberries, raspberries or mixed berries
-1/2 avocado
-6 ounces non fat Greek Yogurt
-ice (about 4-5 cubes)
-3/4 cup unsweetened coconut milk
-1 oz shredded coconut
-few drops liquid stevia (if needed for added sweetness)

Directions:
-Place all ingredients in a blender until fruit is completely pureed and ingredients are combined.
-Add stevia to sweeten, if needed. You may need to add a touch more coconut milk or ice to get the consistency of your preference.
