When we take a rest day, it is because we need to recover from the high intensity if the past few days. Often we can consider an “active recovery” as a rest day. A day where you still do something but take it easier than you have been. These rest days or active recovery days are the most important part of our work out regime. This is when we get stronger, fitter and faster, mentally and physically. These rest days or active rest days need to be the most important part of your week.
